You know one of the things that really surprises me is the amount of "believers" that don't "believe"...
how many times have you quoted a bible verse or something that God is doing and people say, i just don't believe that... I thought the whole point is that we are believers and not don't believers...
I remember two guys in my church years ago and we named them doubt and unbelief... everytime we talked about the miracle working power of God, one guy said I doubt that and the other said I just don't believe it...
Has anyone else found this to be true?
Mike.

I find it true in the real world, the world of unbelievers or those from mainline denominations. But I surely don't expect to find it in Spirit-filled congregations, or forums. Sadly, in just a few days here, I have found more 'don't believers' than I ever have in real life.
The word is simple. Read it with ears to hear!
Zec 7:11 But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

Take heart Marie - people are often less inhibited here because it is possible to be anonymous. They express fears and doubts they'd never dare utter among a face-to-face congregation.
It is good in that it enables light to reach dark places, and I have at times benefited from that myself - but of course, for some people it's an excuse to be obnoxious without penalty.
Just ignore them and strecth out a hand to lift up the genuine seekers expressing themselves.
I can see your heart of compassion, sister, I just know you want to stay!
Mike - it doesn't surprise me much that people have unbelief, because of where I've come from:
My entire family are doubtful about even the existence of God, my husband is very firmly atheist, and I left my Anglican church a couple of years or so ago because I got burnt out trying to find a way to breathe life where so few were truly born again.
Being here has shown me more men and women of genuine, deep faith than I ever saw in my life before, and in that context the "unbelieving believers" on CF fade into a less shocking perspective for me.
To all you here on WoF - take heart - you do make a difference to some, you make a difference to me.
Hey Preacher Mike...I was just thinking of you and this subject TODAY!!!!!!!! Believe it or not...I was!!! Remember when you and I (as GodRules) were over on that other forum that was full of calvinists? and absolutely every miracle was doubted as they screamed "Prove it!" that's where I started questioning "believers who don't believe." I even posted on their forum..."If you are believers, then what do you believe in, if you don't believe in miracles and healings and raising the dead?"
When you go in the main forum here there are so many threads set up to talk about how you can't get things from God, don't ask for this, don't ask for that, this isn't for you, it is unreal...
There was a thread posted called, what have you learned from SF/PC forum... what I learned was... if you need prayer or someone to agree with you don't go there, you will get talked out of your miracle so fast...
One of the things as believers we should endeavor to do is always encourage others in their faith walk, not try and talk them out of it...
