I am really religous.
I am also bisexual and I think I am a lesbian.
I know that God does not like that.
But I need a truthful answer.
Even if I am born again, and everything (im about to get baptized) and I asked god for forgiveness, and I say like this will I go to hell even tho I totally believe in him and everything? |

Okay. I am also bisexual and I think I am a lesbian.
Okay. I know that God does not like that.
Did God tell you that Himself? Because what I'm about to say is probably going to earn me a black eye from a lot of people here, but I'm saying it anyway:
God loves you no matter what. There is nothing you can do to change that. Being a lesbian or being bi-sexual isn't going to change that either. But I need a truthful answer.
We all do. We are all sinners, no matter what our sexual orientation is. Even if I am born again, and everything (im about to get baptized) and I asked god for forgiveness,
Okay but realize that just being who God made you is not a sin. What we do with those challenges *might* be a sin. and I say like this will I go to hell even tho I totally believe in him and everything?
My church is a very ancient, Christian church and we do not believe that people go to hell just because they are gay. We are all (both gay and straight people) called to live "pure" lives and lots of heterosexuals are promiscuous....they go to heaven just because they're straight??? HUh????
Look: going to hell is a choice people make because they can't seem to choose love, mercy, kindness, and salvation, given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. |

None of us are perfect, we all sin and for sure, it is not the place of any of us to judge and not the place of any of us to judge you or anyone else.
As the above poster said, we are all called to live pure lives. If we fall short of this, God is gracious and forgives the repentant heart. Bring your concerns to God and sit in His presence for a while, see what He wants to tell you :-) |

His very character is compassion that covers us completely. i'd like to meet you where you are as a shoulder, an encourager, and as a sister (i study scripture too). welcome to CF! if you'd like to chat with me, please pop me a note. i loose track of all my posts, but don't want to loose track of you. *HUG* xo love dee

Reps: 10 (power: 0) | | | Well I just say that because I was reading things seeing what would happen if I stayed like this, and it said that if I do stay like that then I am living a life a sin. But am I really supposed to just live my life and pretend to be straight and be unhappy the rest of my life, BUT be able to see God (which I would totally do)
Or know that I will still be able to be with God even if I stay like this.
and yes I ment help..haha |

Who told you that you are bisexual?
Was it a thought?
Was it a human being?
Personally I don't think that anyone is bisexual, lesbian, etc. just because they find themselves being attracted to the same gender.
Attraction is different than sexual desire/thought -- in my context in this post.
I have struggled with that -- suddenly being attracted to one of my friends or feeling uncomfortable around someone of the same gender. But I am NOT bisexual. I am NOT lesbian.
It IS a choice, I believe. Sexual orientation is just that... to be oriented... someone has to teach you or show you the way to go. Friends, media, and stray thoughts can influence you in the wrong way. I find when I watch television shows portraying homosexuality, I have more thoughts about it and more temptations. But when I read my Bible and focus on other things, I don't.
On the other hand, if it is sexual desire towards the same gender, and you know in your heart that it is not pleasing to God... and you feel convicted (this is not the same as condemnation... which is where your question about going to hell comes in)...
then I would seek God's voice. Pray continually for Him to change your desires. Focus on Him, not on your sin/wrongs/faults/desires. He is merciful to ALL... because we ALL have fallen. Yes, sexual sin is the kind of sin that God hates most. But I'm assuming you haven't gone that far? Either way, He doesn't hate YOU, he just hates the SIN. |

Are you bisexual, or lesbian? You can't be both. Originally Posted by MissB007 I know that God does not like that.
Correct. Originally Posted by MissB007 Even if I am born again, and everything (im about to get baptized) and I asked god for forgiveness, and I say like this will I go to hell even tho I totally believe in him and everything?
No. But this is not a license to pursue homosexual relationships. Your life is His now. He is your boss. What matters is obedience to Him, not how you are tempted.
Let me tell you something else:
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."
When you are born again, and become a disciple, you have a new identity. Thieves who come to God are not to identify as thieves and go on stealing. They have a clean record and a new identity in the eyes of God. He has signed the legal papers. They are to put their old lifestyles and sins away and learn how to live as good Christians. Same with homosexuals and bisexuals. You're going to have temptations, but if you identify yourself as one of them, you are living a lie because if you came to God and became a Christian, He signed the papers. You are a Christian to Him now, and there is no reason to live as a bisexual or homosexual. You are to get rid of that lifestyle and learn how to walk with the Lord. Identifying yourself as a "Gay Christian" or "Bisexual Christian" doesn't make any more sense than calling yourself a "Stealing Christian," a "Greedy Christian," or a "Lying Christian." Those are false identities, the only true identity for a Christian is "Christian." And when the Christian who is susceptible to stealing, lying, fornication, or whatever falls into that sin, that Christian is living a lie. They are to stop, adjust, return to the Lord, and do better next time.
Does that make sense?
