I noticed I can only select either the last item I added of the second to last. I can't select the background or the body if I have added other items.
To my relief after some fiddling around, was that you can use the items list to press the item/background or what you want to change out and then press remove. So there is no need to remove layer by layer to scroll down to what you intend to change.

you can add the background and then use the layer down button to put it under the character, keep clicking on it until the background is in the bottom position...
Ok blueanjel... how did you get your avatar box that smaller size?
I don't want mine so huge for my character box, it pixelizes my bg too much. (resorted to a regular avatar till I have time to figure this out) -
If I can make the box itself smaller, it won't pixelize (probly).
Since there was no car of the size I needed anywhere in the armory, I copied my avatar pic to disc as a .gif,
then used Paint.Net to add the car behind us. Saving it again as a .gif had the effect of flattening it all to one
layer, and shrinking the avatar to the size shown. I then edited my CF avatar and put my doctored picture in
as a personalized avatar uploaded from my disc. I hope this doesn't violate any copyrights.
PS: There is some weird problem with word wrap going on with this page. I manually entered line breaks to
keep the words from scrolling off the page.

ok good to know...
but that still doesn't answer my question... does anyone know? do you have to move EACH PIECE at a time if you want to move your character on the background? I find that totally annoying that I have to move the body, and then the mouth and then the eyes and then the eyebrows and then the shirt and then the pants and then the shoes... wow I'm exhausted just talking about it...
