The Mother of God speaks of ecumenism, or brotherhood, today. In answer to the question, "Are all religions good?" she responded:
All religions are similar before God. God rules over them just like a sovereign over his kingdom. In the world, all religions are not the same because people have not complied with the commandments of God. They reject and disparage them.
Mary's Message 10-1-81
Can someone please help me understand the difference here between "before God" and "in the world"? and also what is meant by 'similar'? I don't really understand this one...
God bless
monica

Where Peter is, there is the Church. Where the Church is, there is eternal Life.
"The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has sown violence and discord at the heart of the most intimate human relationships. It has aggravated the derogation of the father's role in an increasingly fatherless society"- Mother Theresa
"But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child - a direct killing of the innocent child - murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion?
As always, we must persuade her with love, and we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts. Jesus gave even his life to love us. So the mother who is thinking of abortion, should be helped to love - that is, to give until it hurts... her plans, or her free time, to respect the life of her child. The father of that child, whoever he is, must also give until it hurts. By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems.
And by abortion, the father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. That father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion just leads to more abortion. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching the people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. That is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion". - Mother Theresa
I believe this is all being addressed in the other thread. Our Blessed Mother always speaks simple. Her words are not confusing, it is people who make them confusing. To me the message is as plain as day. I will not go into the detail of the simpleness that it speaks to my heart, because I am sure that would cause debate. Peace to you all. Isa
This thread is ONLY for reading her messages and commenting on how they have possibly changed your life, or the life of others in turning back to Christ, increasing your prayer life etc… It is not to pick apart the messages themselves
As such I will comment on how the message in question has changed my life which may also help to understand it.
In the same spirit of the message, St. Paul calls us to be ambassadors of reconciliation among God's people:
2Co 5:18-20 But all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Christ and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.
For God indeed was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing to them their sins. And he hath placed in us the word of reconciliation.
For Christ therefore we are ambassadors, God as it were exhorting by us, for Christ, we beseech you, be reconciled to God.
Both St. Paul and our Lady calls us to reconciliation with each other, both as individuals and as groups. On this day the Gospa tells us that "All religions are similar before Go," although not the same. Everything is before God as we are all under His domain.
I see our Lady's desire in this message being that our common brotherhood unite all faiths, each respecting the other.
As a result of Mary's message we are called to pray especially for the unity of all God's children.
Our Lady's messages have helped me to see the opportunities in ecumenical services and I began do make a special effort to attend in response to our Lady's messages.
This message is also further understood in light of the statements from saints in my signature line below.
This is the true spirit of ecumenism and agape love and not the false one of bigotry and proselytization. (Which means to try to convert another to ones point of view by force of words or opinions).
We often have prejudice and bigotry crop up in our beings toward other groups of God's children which results in proselytism and uncharity toward them and visa versa.
Her messages have helped me to love all people and to look for Jesus in all people regardless of their differing indoctrinations while some get hung up on who is right or wrong.
All this being said, please lets be careful not to cause debate in this thread by picking apart the messages further.
Peace.

Dear children, on this great day which you have given me, I wish to bless all of you and say: these days that I am with you are days of grace.
I want to teach you and help you walk in the way of holiness. There are many people who do not want to understand my messages nor to seriously accept what I am saying. Therefore I will call you to witness to my presence here through your lives, through your day to day living.
If you pray, God will help you discern the true reason for my coming. And so, little children, pray and read the sacred scriptures so that through the grace that have accompanied my coming, you can discern the messages in sacred scripture for you.
Dear children, today in a special way I bring the infant Jesus to you, that he may bless you with peace and love. Dear children, do not forget that this is a grace which many people do not understand or accept.
Therefore, all of you who have said that you are mine and seek my help, give your entire self. First, be an example in your own families and give them your love. Since you say that Christmas is a family feast, then, dear children, put God first in your families; then he can give you peace and protect you not only from war, but also from Satan's attacks during peacetime.
When God is with you, you have everything. But when you do not want him, you are miserable and lost, for you do not know whose side you are on. And so, dear children, decide for God and then you will have everything.

Absolutely incredible how these messages speak to ones heart and their current situation.
Especially as taken from the book for the very day they are needed.
Thank you Jesus for giving us such a beautiful Mother!

Here is our Mother's message for the month of April.
Dear children! Also today, I call all of you to grow in God's love as a flower which feels the warm rays of spring. In this way, also you, little children, grow in God's love and carry it to all those who are far from God. Seek God's will and do good to those whom God has put on your way, and be light and joy. Thank you for having responded to my call."
I get the monthly messages sent to me every month. If you want to sign up to receive the messages, sign up at medjugorje.org.
Our Mother always directs us to God and her Son Jesus and to do the will of God.
In all things, may we always do the will of God no matter what the difficulties.

Lord, Jesus Christ, take all my freedom, my memory, my understanding and my will. All that I have and cherish you have given me. I surrender it all to be guided by your wil. Your grace and your love are wealth enough for me. Give me these, Lord Jesus, and I ask for nothing more. Amen
Medjugorje Message of November 25, 2008
Dear children! Also today I call you, in this time of grace, to pray for little Jesus to be born in your heart. May He, who is peace itself, give peace to the entire world through you. Therefore, little children, pray without ceasing for this turbulent world without hope, so that you may become witnesses of peace for all. May hope begin to flow through your hearts as a river of grace. Thank you for having responded to my call.
