Be blessed in Jesus' Name.
I think a lot of time people aren't sure whether or not they should take that step, not quite sure Jesus wants them healthy.
I'm reminded of the examples we're given, of the woman whose daughter needed help and she, a gentile, went to beg at Jesus' feet. She threw herself on His mercy, asking that her daughter be given only the crumbs... she was sure it would be enough to save her child. And she was.
Blind men called out to him even when being scorned by others and told to "shush"... and they were healed.
Another gentile traveled to reach Jesus and had faith to say, "speak only the word and my servant will be healed..." Jesus told him his faith was greater than those of His own people, the Israelites. Where had this man heard of the power of Jesus?
Another woman was "bound by Satan" for a number of years... she got Jesus' attention by her faith and He set her free in the temple. The priests were angry but her faith was great.
Another woman walked in public even though her law had strict rules against it... she even touched Jesus' clothes! She risked breaking her law (with very, very strict punishment as consequence) to get to Him, so certain she was of the healing He was sure to share with her. She was not denied. Her faith saved her.
These people had one thing in common: THEY WANTED TO BE HEALED.
They wanted it so badly that they SOUGHT JESUS and His way... "Seek first the kingdom of heaven..."
They fought against common sense (doctors couldn't cure some of them, but they knew Jesus could -- does that make "sense" in the natural way of things?).
They fought against crowds (one had to go up on the roof to get to Jesus).
They fought against fear and laws and dread and customs which said women and non-Israelites should not talk to Jesus on the streets.
They fought. They dared to hope, and they fought to get what they knew in their hearts was right.
They had faith and they fought the good fight.
I hope many will be inspired to follow these examples. They're for us to learn from, to gain inspiration from, to see how the Kingdom of God operates. Please don't buy into the lies and deceptions of the enemy who says God wants you sick. He doesn't!
Jesus healed everyone, and said it was His job to do it. He came to fulfill the prophet Isaiah, to preach the good news to the poor... to heal, to give sight, to set free. He then commissioned all of us to do the same, and even greater things!
Matthew 10:8 NIV
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
Dare to fight, Saints. What Jesus gave is yours, if you believe it.
If you need hands laid on you, I do so - NOW - in the spirit. God's healing operates spiritually and I'm going to take a step of faith right now and touch all who need healing. Please receive it, in your spirit, and it will begin to flow into your physical being.
"My peace and prosperity are like a flowing river and my righteousness like the waves of the sea..." (Isaiah 48:18) The blood of Jesus heals.
Miracles.
