Keil, where have you been? You dropped off the face of the planet for awhile there.

i can't think of any experiences equivalent to the moth and moose stories.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised by the moose myself. Who knew they liked metal? It makes the birds all fly away...

Well, you know, sometimes there are really unusual things that happen to single people, right? Well, the unusual happened - I met a girl on christian cafe 'round about March (yes, although infrequent, it actually does happen). Needless to say, I'm not spending time with her now.... Her tingles weren't consistent, so zzzzt - done. The time we had was a blessing from God, but like many blessings of God, it was a blessing only for the time He ordained. Thank God for blessings, even those that are for a time! And it was a good growth experience - it was Maggie who gave me the phrase 'holding God's blessings in an open palm'... and God used it! I hope He blesses her soon with the man she's looking for.

Anyway, I'm back on the forum and back searching the world for the one to walk home to glory with, with each day still a blessing of God.

It's good to be welcomed back - thanks!

NOTE: the idea of the thread is the weird things you wouldn't have imagined you'd experience being single... like moose and metal - good one!

(on the other hand, as I sit here eating campbell's chunky soup out of a can I can much appreciate the mundane things like owning my own orange juice carton and being able to grow my own cultures in my '[bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]!)

uniqute is on a distinguished road
I'm not sure how strange it is - but lately I've really noticed how nice it is *not* to have to consider someone else when I make plans. I want to go on a holiday next year overseas. So I will. I might work overseas for a while, or I might move and work somewhere else, or I might stay where I am. But whilst I'd miss my friends if I moved, I'm quite free to choose any of the above and not have to worry about it having major ramifications for anyone else

I can go visit friends out of town for a weekend without having to plan it much ahead, I can leave my room in a complete mess if I'm in a hurry, I can watch whatever I want on tv, I can stay up till whenever I want playing on the Internet.

Hmmm, essentially I guess I just like being able to be stuff that would be considered selfish if I wasn't single
