Moon smirked at the annoyance of Red. Here was a touch on the heart. Perhaps if he pressed harder, he could cut through the husk to Red's true purpose. "I not be takin' away your freedoms. You may be leavin' when you please. Howeva, if you choose to leave, you no longa be our guest; you be our prisona. You can only be our guest if you be behavin' like one and act wit honor.
"So, you may be choosin' to do what you want, but you must be prepared to be facin' de consequences of dose actions. Be you prepared for de consequences of de choices you make? Like de choice to join dis company?"
"Aye," Byar said, tugging on his hood once again. Without a moment's hesitation he went after her.
((So, how do you wish to handle this? Obviously they will follow the party. We could play it out and catch up later or we can skip to the time they reach the village. Any ideas?))
((I have no prefernces either way. You decide.))

Nearly a half hour later, the group, led by Artimis, made their way into a long room showing off a large dining table. High-backed chairs surrounded it, adorned with crimson cushions to match the fine napkins and the intricate designs on the edges of the sparkling plates. A goblet was set at each place, and should one count them he would find twelve. A fireplace blazed behind the table and heated the room, the flickering light giving it a warm feeling.
Artmis took the seat at the head of the table and beckoned the others to do the same. Everyone from the monk to the boy to the woman who argued with the man filed into the room and heard the doors swing shut after them by servants' hand.
~~~
Red tightened his fist beneath the table but relaxed when Mia's gentle touch graced his arm. He did not look at her, perferring to keep his eyes locked on Moon, but likewise, his tongue stilled. It was a few moments before he calmed enough to continue eating again.
~~~
Moon's village came into view after a bit of walking, and Byar pulled Raina off to the side. "Be careful when we go in. The tracks lead here, yes, but I cannot be sure of how it will turn out." His eyes held a dark light to them, grave and serious. "You can stay here, but I would like to get a closer look."

The four Elves in captivity waited patiently, told they would be able to speak with Demandred soon enough. Unheard by any mortal ear, they spoke with the two remaining outside.
They are here, as expected, one said.
Under what circumstances?
They are prisoners, as we are. We will be speaking with Lord Yeloriff in time.
Do you wish anything from us?
Nay. Remain where you are for the time being. I will call if aid is needed.
((In Lord of the Rings, it is said that the Elves had that ability to talk without speaking aloud, as though through the mind. It seems very close to the Psionic method of telepathy. Well, I guess I'll run with it ))
Areatis filled into the room and pulled his staff from where it rested on his back so he could sit down. Areatis looked towards Artimis waiting for him to speak.

(( Iguess we should figure out if they'll be caught or whatever. Afterall, I don't believe anyone else knows who they are. They couldbe caught as spies from the approaching group...))

Aethon didn't like cities. He liked castles even less. The fact that he would be unable to stand off in the shadows was a slight irritation as well. With a slight hint of irritation, Aethon took a seat at the table to await whatever announcements lay ahead.

Annoyed and distraught, Balin thought back a brief moment to what had happened between him and Lyrik, but he hadn't even begun seeing the images of that horrible day before someone called the meeting to order.
~~~
Mia sighed and continued to nibble. She would have liked some private time with Red. They needed to talk, about a good deal of things, and it always seemed they were in constant bombardment with interruptions. Sighing again, she took a sip of some grape like juice, obviously safer than water was now a days, and sighed again.
You know when you're addicted to Star Wars when you are pulled over by a policemen and asked for your driver's lincence when you reply, "You don't need to see my identification." *Dramatic Hand wave...*
And when he asks about your two friends in the back you say, "They're up for sale if you want them..."
Borrek was too large for the chairs at the feast table(I'm assuming), but he had no trouble in pulling one out and kneeling in its place, heartily digging into the feast. The food was strange and foreign, but one with a minotaur's appetite stopped caring after going this long without a good meal. He was not gratuitously sloppy, but it was clear from his etiquette that tribal minotaur society had not yet developed any real set of table manners.
Once Borrek's hunger had died down a bit, he turned to look over his massive shoulder at Kai, who had not yet joined them for dinner. He waved to her, beckoning the berserk to come join them. "Come, eat!" he called out. "Food very good is! You enjoy! Eat must you for your body strong to keeping!" For he'd seen firsthand what happened when warriors began to starve. Life in the wilds meant the occasional famine, in which food not only became scarce, but harder to catch as your body weakened. Kai's heavy weapon and fierce fighting style would require a lot of energy, which would require a good meal.
((Role, don't wait on me to post for Artimis. Murphy's gonna keep quiet until he's asked a question or something ticks him off.))
Artimis put his hands on the table, fingers arched. Intently, he looked at each person's face, studying them. They were no longer in the beaming noonday sun, but sunlight poured through the window and lit the room with a slightly different shade. Artimis just now noticed that the chill that should be in the air was not, and he was sure the sun could not have done it. But no time to think on that now.
"Welcome, all of you." Artimis said, raising his voice. "As you know, the King is in need of your service. There is a matter of dire importance we must attend to. The King is following a band of rebels, and he is rewarding you provided they are captured and brought back to be tried."
"Criminals?" Moro spoke up. "Are they dangerous?"
"They are no more than sheep stealers . . . unarmed and nearly unimportant. But they owe those unto their damage was directed, and justice is the King's name." Artimis replied.
The Halfling fell quiet.
"You will be paid sixty gold crowns as a group upon leaving, and seventy more on return. It is up to you to split it amongst yourselves."
Moro thought for a moment. Split one hundred thirty gold crowns with people I ne'r met? This man can'st be serious!
Artimis prepared to seat himself. "If there be no questions, we may enjoy a meal now."
