Failed for me. I did a test last night (I was 5 days late with no signs and I got a bit excited). If I'd only waited till this morning I would have found my period had come...
And DH is still ho-humming about going to a gyno.
Do we have to go to the doctor first, THEN be referred to a gyno, or can we ring up a gyno and make an appointment?

Well, I called the doctor and they had me come in to see them an hour later. They did some blood, so we'll see what they have to say when I go for my next appointment on Monday to have the results read.
Wishing you luck

My husband and i are on the TTC journey for our last children. We bascially started TTC just after the birth of my last boy because of the long journey i had before him.
I have had difficult times falling pregnant with all my children. My first we tried for a year and my second about 6mths which wasn't to bad.
Then with my youngest who is now 8mths old it was a different story. It took nearly 2 years to fall pregnant and then i miscarried at 6weeks. then after one cycle i fall pregnant with little isaac.
so thats why we are starting early. But also i am 28 now and we decided my husband and i as a couple that when i reach 30 that we will stop ttcing. So i have 2 years to go and i really want a girl or/and twins.
It's not the referral (well, only the referrals, since we need a referral here), it's that there's only ONE place to go, and the wait to go to that one place is just sooooo long. And they're incredibly expensive.
Really, my body is wacky anyway... I haven't had my period since January, I've not taken a test in a couple weeks, but they've all been BFNs, but EVERY ovulation test I take comes out positive. I'm thinking it's because I bought the cheapo brand.
Tropical Wilds,
Your symptoms sound potentially symptomatic of a hormonal disorder like PCOS. I have very infrequent and irregular periods because I don't ovulate regularly. And while it doesn't happen to me, I've heard some PCOS women get false negatives on ovulation tests.
My PCOS was diagnosed with a blood test. My testosterone was unusually high, which is often a symptom of this disorder. You might get some useful information from a full panel of bloodwork.
