Isaiah 8:12-13 (NIV) "Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread."
It depends. I would rather be created by a benevolent god that knows exactly what environment I would be living in and would create me for maximum happiness for that environment than evolve from primates into an environment totally different from my own; on the other hand, I would rather have evolved from primates into my current environment over millions of years than be created by a god that doesn't really know what sort of environment I'd be living in.

And don't forget, I created the human Zorg(tm) (patent pending). It can't be seen, heard, touched, tasted, smelled, or detected by any instrument, but you can't get into heaven without out it. You ought to thank me. I don't care if you pray, that is what god demands. Send all your money to me, and I will install your Zorg(tm) by long range telepathy.

I'd say evolved. It's a wonderful majestic process.
Being poofed into existence by magic lacks a certain something.

Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil.
But it is also true that, though sound argument and a reasonable appreciation of the available evidence may happen sometimes to lead to false conclusions, no man who is indifferent to argument and evidence can claim to be concerned for truth...It is also true that to tolerate contradiction is similarly to be indifferent to truth. For the person who, whether directly or by implication, knowingly both asserts and denies one and the same proposition, shows by that behaviour that he does not care whether he asserts what is false, and not true, or whether he denies what is true, and not false.
