Because it contains no names, dates, or places (apart from "Florida," which smacks of deliberate vagueness), and the entire idea of a lawyer bringing demands for a new holiday before his local judge - which wouldn't be his job - is ridiculous.
If you thought it was a true story, maybe you ought to be a little more careful about calling people "fools." After all, you were the one who was fooled.

I did not take it seriously but I am not fool enough to try to discredit it without personally researching the
Florida court records.

Did you? You are the one claiming that there was an atheist who started a lawsuit. Are you saying that you have absolutely zero evidence that this ever happened? And we are the fools?
