"...My names for my ancestors - Cro magnon man, ape, fish, slime - would be irrefutable because I would be the authority on what it took to survive and everyone would be afraid that if they didn't act exactly like me, they would DIE!"
"People would come to me in the street and say, 'How did you do it? How can I be exactly like you?' They would want their children to be exactly like me and if I said, 'Your children are beneath me' they would be speechless! What could they say? No one could argue that it would be better to live as someone who goes to death."
"Imagine the millions I could make! Books - "How to survive!", movies - "The world loves only one", music "I'm the best on the Discovery Channel", on and on. They would all obsess over me."
"How could my glory be other than the glory of the future? I am surviving now, so I will obviously survive in the future and that means my ancestry has learnt to survive through me. Its all about ME!"
Sound familiar (sic)? ...What a field day... |

Now that that is settled, what is your point?

In the real world the environment changes with time and location. So if your descendants were exactly like you, they would not be perfectly adapted, because they would not be adapted to their differing spatial/temporal environment.
Forgive me, please, for mentioning this, but those "quotations" are nonsense, with or without attribution.

I doubt this is your point. Care to clarify?
