I am an Independent Fundament Baptist and here is a Statement of Faith from an IFB site.
Please note that this may not be exactly the same Statement of Faith for all IFB churches, but they are basically the same in their "fundamental" doctrines...i.e. God, Bible, Trinity, Satan, etc.
What is exactly a baptist? I don"t understand the different denomanation.
Historic Baptisit Distinctives
Bible--the sole authority for faith and practice Autonomy or independenc of the local church Priesthood of all believers Two offices
Pastor
Deacon Individual soul liberty and responsibility Separation of Church and State Two ordinances
Believer's Baptism by Immersion
Lord's Supper Saved, baptized, and serving members
I am a part of the Unregestered Baptist Fellowship and here is a statement of faith from the main church (Where the creator of the UBF is Pastor Emeritus and his son is Pastor.)
I read both the references in this sticky, plus the 'anabaptists' sticky; but
neither gave an explanation of: 121 Community Church, a Southern Baptist-related congregation in Grapevine, Texas".
Would you people, who are baptist (I am not, but rather a spirit-filled, non-denominational christian) - please
explain how the 121 Community church does their thing...
Yes, I have their website bookmarked: One:Twenty One Community Church | 121 Mission Philosophy; but
not many details there, on how they might differ, from what I & others might believe.
Thank you! in advance for any insight you can share, & in-Christ richly-Blessed live...

Umm never heard of them...what's this got to do with types of baptists?
They are one of the many thousands of community churches in the USA/world.

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried:
He descended into hell;
The third day he rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost;
The holy catholic Church;
The Communion of Saints;
The Forgiveness of sins;
The Resurrection of the body,
And the Life everlasting.
Amen.
I am simply asking about 121 Community Church, as being Southern Baptist-related. Because I know little about either.
Might someone else answer? Thanks!

They are SBC related and located in Grapevine, TX...here's a link to a baptist press article about their worship leader being an American Idol contestant:
Seems if they are talked about in Baptist Press...it's a Baptist church of some sort eh?
Here's a link to the SBC's Baptist Faith & Message (statement of faith for the SBC)....this will tell you all about what us southern baptists hold dear and true in our faith:
121CC may or may not have adopted the BF&M as their official church statement of faith or it may or may not be in addition to their own SoF.
There isn't much info on their website about them. Good luck finding someone here directly from Grapevine, TX who's visited there.
Hope this helps.
