Christians aren't under the laws of Leviticus or deuteronomy though are they? Jesus was a fulfillment of the Law. He also spoke about the heart of the laws being more important then the laws themselves...but that is a whole different debate. I think Christians can universally agree, however, they we do not have to follow the strict laws as described in the Old Testament.

There is only one law, one commandment we are under, Love your God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your strength ...

Again, teachings in Corinthians are something that I need to study on, because my wife doesn't want to be hushed and have head covered at church.

Any muslims care to explain some of these rules? Especially the things that make prayer void, or how you should pray full stop.

I think it's how much you love God and do his will by showing love to others that counts myself as a Christian, not jumping through lots of bizzare hoops...Maybe I'm simply not used to such strictness, heheh.
Islam is a works based religion, thereby it has to have rules for works. There is no grace in Islam only scales, and jihad.

Once again you speak upon something you never expirienced. You really frustrate me greatly crystalpc. You say Islam has no grace, that is just ridiculous and you say this while not expiriencing standing side by side in prayer with thousands of your brothers at a time hearing the words of God recited while we bow our heads in remeberance of Allah and his prophets. During prayer you often hear grown men cry and weep from the beauty of the Quran and these are men muslim since they were born and it never stop touching htem. When you step within the masjid the only beautification is the writing of the beautiful Quran hung on the walls and the amazing architecture that has existed before America was ever thought of. If recitation of scripture, brotherhood, and unified prayer isnt a example of grace than i don't know what is...
Secondly Jihad is a battle against internal sin and constant remeberance of Allah and his prophets. Jihad is taking care of your family when food is little and money is near to none even after 70 hours a week of hard labor. Jihad is something afghanis go through every day trying to fight for their survival in the poverty stricken homes of a country under constant bombardemt by past invading nations. Jihad is getting out of bed at 4:30 and making Fajr prayer before the sun rises and making your daily prayers while your family scoulds you and tells you your not allowed to pray in this house unless jesus is your lord. So DON'T talk about these things when you never have struggled through a internal jihad or a external jihad in chaotic battlefields. Don't say we ahve no grace when you havent set foot ina glorious masjid and been embraced by hundreds of your brothers of all races and seen the true peace of man kind...... please just stop your bashing of my religion when the muslims here are only trying to bring peace instead of this intolerance and ignorance that so many are showing us in this country. I think Jesus would agree, don't slander and moch those who come in PEACE.

I don't have issues with Muslims-they're often a thousand times more respectful to me then so called "Christians".

I do, however, find the Islamic law system to be utterley suffocating from what I have read.

You are right I don't pray at a god, I talk to God, and he answers, something you have never experienced, I persume.

I know you don't know, Grace is the unmerited favor of God, knowing that he loves you..That while we were yet sinners Christ died for us..

Then you will agree with me that Mohammed Atta is buring in hell right now... right?

Bashing your religion. I made a simple statement that it is scales, or works do you deny that? If that is incorrect then it would be bashing, but since you and I both know that it is not incorrect it is not bashing...

Demons are what the quran describes as Jinn. Jinn are beings who can be good or evil just as us. They can become very powerful like the Devil and when they do hey are called Ifrite. I have ahd personal expiriences with jinn (beleive me or not) and so have christian friends of mine who were with me or by themsleves. I pray inever do again. In Islam it is better off not talking about to jinn and i really prefer not to but yes a jinn can posses you and corrupt or even harm you , may Allah protect us. I ahve heard posessions and exorcisms by Sheikhs trying to draw them out of possesed muslims and it is something i have tried to forget until now. I pray i can forget it now.
Once again i don't know what ican say to crystalpc because what can you say to someone who is clearly intolerant and consumed with ignorance..... not much. Everything you said is exactly what my relationship with Allah is. i speak with him constantly throughout the day even though i don't recieve a reply. Muslims amke personal connections through meditation and Du'a which is another type of prayer which your talking about and not the formal prayer done in congregation. I personally meditate for hours at a time when i can. Any how im wasting my time talking with you about this cuz your just going to compare this to something ridiculous and start talking about 9-11 terrorists or something. Where did atta come into the discussion, your such a frustrating person to talk to lol but imstarting to just ignoe it instead of taking it to heart. CS2x ill see if i can find you something about posseion ect, if you wan tto know more id pm you or maybe start a topic about personal expiriences with miracles, possesions and demonic/ angelic influences. I'd have a lot to talk about hehe but i prefer not to honestly.
