Reps: 3,233 (power: 14) | | | Well, my all time favorite singer is John Denver. I do not consider him country at all; he is definitely a folk singer. But some people put him in the country category, so I thought I would mention it. Plus I love Mary CHapin Carpenter.. but honestly, she is folk too.
I grew up in the country, so I know a lot of the music. I mostly prefer older country though. The new country isn't really country as much as it is pop. But some of my favorites are: Dolly Parton, Lorretta Lynn, Randy Travis, Johnny Cash, Reba, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Linda Rondstadt, David Allan Coe.
