Don't forget to schedule tonight's episode of "The Universe" on the History Channel. I've been waiting for this episode for a while. They are discussing possible causes of the Big Bang. I would imagine that M and String theory will make an appearance.

I haven't seen this but it got a bit rubbished on DinoForum

I watched it last night and I wasn't too impressed. I haven't registered at DinoForum but I can imagine what they were complaining about.
Most of the episode revolved around the dispute between and ground-up evolution of flight and a top-down evolution of flight. That is, did flight originate with tree climbers who learned to glide or runners who used their wings for added speed. What everyone on the show agreed on was that flight originated in feathered dinosaurs which pretty much takes care of the "no transitional fossils" argument that is popular in creationist circles.

Which is pretty much what the show was promoted as. At least the promos I saw.
