Redwall: Fall of the Abbey

"Anyone up for fishing?"

The mention of fishing grabbed Teo's attention. Without a word, he dove into the river.

Gale stood, staring into the river, unable to find a trace of Teo. That is one strange otter.

"I guess Teo's in charge of the fish. There doesn't appear to be many berry bushes around, but there's bound to be something around. I'll be back soon." He left the area, disappearing into the forest.

Gale walked a fair distance, searching for some kind of berry bush, or fruit. Darkness was falling, making it difficult to discern much of anything. Lightning lit the sky, enough to provide a brief flash of light. Gale used the temporary light to scan the surrounding area for food. Lightning flashed. Nothing. He continued, moving on to another place. This particular section of forest was a bit darker than the rest, due to the thickness of the tress and plants. He strained his eyes, trying to discern any shapes. Finally, he found what he thought was a bush of some kind of berries, which, from what he knew, didn't appear poisonous, and he approached the bush. Lightning flashed. Gale stopped. Something wasn't right...

Jesir struck with great force. He twirled around the mouse and squeezed him, not to kill but to distract with pain, hopefully the mouse couldn't move his arms.

Rakshun was able to move one arm down to his sword and managed to draw it. He moved it up at the Snake's head. "So we both gonna die or are you going to get off me?" He growled.

Jesir coiled to look the mouse dead in the eye.
"Yesss, you are a warrior of redwall. Drop that sssword before you hurt yoursssself." He said with malicious intent.

Rakshun sliced into part of the snake, leaving a small cut. "Release me, or next time I'll cut you in half."

The snake winced in pain. "Fine."
He released the mouse. "Lissssten to me, warrior of Redwall. I can heeeelp you." He said
"I have seen the infesssstation of the abby. I will help you, for a priceee." He said with cunning

I'm back, amazed right?

"I am no warrior of Redwall, but I'm tangled up in this mess. What is your price? And HOW can you help us?" Rakshun asked suspiciously, moving merely a few feet back, keeping his sword ready.

Gale's ears picked up discomforting noises from the scene happening back with Rakshun. He darted back, paw on the hilt of his sword.

Gale nearly tripped, startled by the snake. He quickly drew the sword, producing an audible, metallic, ringing sound.

Catava ran toward the river when she heard the snake and, though she had no weapons, bared her teeth and claws in preparation for a fight. However, it looked like Rakshun and Gale had it covered.

"I can help you for a price," the snake said.

"What price?" she asked suspiciously.
