I testified here a few weeks ago about receiving my healing. It wasn't instantaneous, or what some would call "miraculous" because it took a few days. Actually, it was an ongoing affliction that had been sort of bothering me off and on for a few months.
It wasn't until it got REALLY bad that I decided to take a stand against it by standing in faith on God's word and His promises.
Matthew 10:8 NIV
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
Of course, this is dependent on us actually receiving what Jesus offers us. But all of the above has been given to us. A great ability to keep God's dearest children healthy, alive, well, and free from all oppression.
I know how hard it is to keep going when you hurt so badly or are so afraid, and the doubts keep bombarding you... BUT, we must HANG ON! God's precious Help IS there, does exist, IS His will, and it will manifest through you, soon. Stand!
I have so much peace of God today, and when I look back at how bad I felt, how the weight of everything was pressing down on me so hard, just a few weeks ago, I can tell you the truth about standing: After you've done everything you can do, STAND.
The disciples said this first, of course, but it is no less true today. God is the same and does not change or treat anyone with prejudice. What He offers may be received by all. Jesus said to not doubt, "only believe". As in, don't do anything else; just believe. The miracle is there and will work in your life, either all at once, or little by little. But it WILL.
Mark 16:20
Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
When you hear the Word of God and believe it by faith, you will see the results of it. What you believe will come to pass in your life. When you read "By His stripes I've been healed" and dare to speak that, stand on it, meditate on it, sing it, the truth will make a difference in your circumstances.
God Himself confirms what He has said by making it happen.
But, sometimes it's not instantaneous. It took a few years for Abraham to actually see a child born to himself. It even took a day or so for the fig tree to wither, when Jesus commanded it.
If Jesus had been expecting instant results, He might have started doubting... the tree didn't look like anything had happened, but Jesus didn't look at and wonder why His words hadn't held power to change the circumstances. He went on His way, and the next day His disciples pointed out the tree was dead: withered from the roots.
It's hard not to look at your circumstances, but if you stand on the power of the Word, you will see the results. Believe and see the evidence of God's word.
Hebrews 10:35-36 AMP
Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
Patience and endurance are yours for the asking... patience is one of the fruits of the spirit (NOT works -- a fruit!).
In the midst of horrible pain and doubt I have cried out to Father "Daddy, comfort me!" and the pain eases. He is there, He will never leave. Stand. Your miracle will happen.

This theological position on healing has its problems.
1. Jesus was a catalyst for healing of many people who didn't know who He was. Some of them were dead. He didn't require "faith" from them for their healing. His faith was sufficient for their healing.
2. I know of people who were told to just believe without any doubt and they would be healed. They sincerely did the best they could to do so -- and died anyway. The intercessors either said he didn't believe hard enough or said he was healed in heaven -- a sort of bait & switch tactic. Either way, the rest of the family walked away from the faith, thanks to them! No one asked why the intercessors' faith was not sufficient for his healing ....
Faith is a gift of the Holy Spirit. It is the assurance of things hoped for when you pray, the conviction of things not seen when you pray. We appeal to God for healing in hope that He will fulfill His promises regarding prayer. When the peace descends, we can then stop praying and start thanking. The answer is present and accounted for.
If we don't get an answer, we try another tack. Maybe its not physical but demonic. Try casting it out. Maybe its not personal but familial. Pray for the whole extended family. Maybe there are demons in their environment at home. Clean up their house and neighborhood. Maybe they are clinging to the malady for some reason. Try inner healing prayer. We just keep trying all avenues until healing takes place. But if healing does not take place, we can honestly say, "There must be some promise of God, some wisdom of God that we don't understand yet that stands in the way of your healing. Keep asking and pursuing God's wisdom and promises. He loves you, but He only works through His promises here on earth."

What did you get healing from? If you don't mind me asking.
A pain and swelling began suddenly in my gum and tooth probably 6 months ago. I rarely go to the doctor because God has proven Himself many, many, MANY times by healing me of many afflictions during the past 5 years that He's been teaching me about healing.
But... I went to the dentist and had a procedure done and thought everything was fine.
Suddenly, about 3 months ago, the pain began again. And this time it was Worse. I couldn't even chew on that side! One night it hurt so bad that my entire jaw was throbbing and the pain radiated down my neck. (Not sure how much detail you wanted! LOL)
One night I was awake all night in pain, praying and praying in the spirit (tongues). I had a vision of a demon that night during prayer and clearly understood from God that Satan was attacking me through those symptoms.
I began casting him out, rebuking him, and praising Jesus that He came to defeat Satan on my behalf, and that I could stand on His Word stating my healing and blessings as the righteousness of God through belief in Christ as my Lord.
The pain remained, though, until God showed me - again clearly - that the pain was a result of fear. When I allowed fear to dominate my thoughts, I gave up my faith in God. Both cannot exist at the same time. We must serve One only.
Then I began quoting the freedom from fear scriptures and casting out THAT particular demon force. (I am beginning to believe that all that hinders us from walking in the victory Jesus' blood bought for us to have, is based in fear. Pride was Satan's downfall, and I believe pride is a form of fear, of unworthiness or striving to provide for self rather than allowing God to provide for us.)
Anyway, the pain is gone. There are still twinges now and then but I can eat and sleep and PRAISE GOD I'm healed!

I'm glad to read you've improved. I pray for your complete recovery.
