Perhaps somewhat in line with dispensationalism, doctrine seems to have changed a few times over the millenia.
Also the story seems to read that some, sometimes a prophet, sometimes a remnant actually prayed for the next revelation. And prayed that such changes would come to pass. What fundamentally result into core changes of core doctrines.
Is there anyway we could petition YHWH again for some more doctrinal change?
Personally, I'm thinking a bit of Universalism would be rather kind-hearted.
Any way we could pray for that?
And if that happened, how would we know?
Who would God tell? And how would we know God told him?
I'm just thinking Christians ought to think big about prayer. Not just cure Aunt Nancy's cancer but to cure all forums of cancer. Why not even all pathogens? Zap 'em dead.
And a bit of Universalism to boot.
Could you pray for that? Why or why not. I'm sure we could discuss proof verses either way.
It just seems a stronger, more durable, more based in strong-faith solution.

However, I think I will leave God to determine how he runs things without my advice...
And, please, don't try to start debate/ discussion in the prayer thread! Thanks.

Stilling to solely questions, I'll ask, how is this determining how things should be run?
And furthermore, how is this different from any petition to God another than in boldness of faith and scope?
Is asking anything of God, even the smallest humblest thing, giving God unsolicited advice on what he should do? |

Sticking to the question format, I'll ask, was John the Baptist suggesting that the Torah was "wrong" in his prayers for a Messiah to come so that man need not follow the letter of "God's word" as it was revealed as of that time? |

This forum is specifically for prayer, rather than questions!
I am closing this thread.. but hope to continue the discussion elsewhere.
