I have been praying a lot for my hubby Joe. They have been prayers for healing, but not "Catholic prayers", meaning traditional prayers such as the Rosary.
I feel God telling me that is how He wants me to pray instead.
All I can say is wow, thanks for you posting that.
My husband goes to the Neurologist on Thursday, boy is this dragging out, then I would suppose cat scan, blood work and what not afterwards.
The not knowing and waiting is always worse than knowing something.
I will update when I know something.
Bless you all!
You are welcome sis.
I wanna share something with you but I hope that this does not offend anyone. I have thought and prayed about this for a while now and I hope that I can explain myself in a way that really helps everybody.
Well one day I was on the bus and I was just praying the whole way, and I asked Jesus "what prayer is better tongues or the chaplet?" Well He answer me the chaplet, but the way he said it really made me think.
I know that tongues is a great prayer and that it truly praises God! Amen to that.
But from God's point of view, it is almost like he is saying to me "Praising me is very good, but I greatly desire the salvation of the people whom I love even more than I desire to be praised."
I really hope that this is not too scandalous for anyone here. I just think that God was explaining that both are very good. But the chaplet ws given for a specific purpose in mind when God revealed it.
But I love to praise the Lord too!
btw, I don't think it is about what is better so much as it is , what is neccesary at the moment. I hope this makes sense and that it has truth in it for you.

Offend or scandalous ? Of course not
A great post dear brother.
When I pray in tongues, it is either before or after vocal prayer.
I don't even think about it, it is only how the Lord leads me too.
Yes God gave us prayers such as the Chaplet and the Rosary, both powerful tools. For others and ourselves. Praise God.
He gave us so many ways to pray. So wonderful.
And we our dear Jesus as our mediator to our Father.
And we have Our Lady and the Saints to intercede for us.
Isn't is glorious

We seem to be poor but we make others rich, as the scriptures say.
I am rich when I think of all of these things

I think the most beautiful thing in all of this is the PRAYERS. Each of us come into God's presence in our own special way.
Do you see this here in this thread?
I do my best when I am just talking to God like I do all day long.
Sometimes I use formal prayers, sometime tongues (very often tongues when I do not know how to pray or the need).
God speaks to each of us in our own need. The biggest thing we can learn is to pray and then be silent and listen.
I am glad to hear that your husband is being aggressive in seeking a cause for his illness. It is truly amazing what blood work will tell the doctors.
