Who went too far?

I was going through some things and I confided in one of my coworkers(whom I developed a relationship away from there). Well the very next day one of my best friends kept telling me that she loved me, which was very unusual for her. To make a long story short, my confidant had a confidant. My business made it back to me as soon as I got off work. Well there were three people(at work) involved that shouldn't have opened their mouths. I just couldn't sit back and let them drag my business around our place of business. So I confronted two of them and the third found out. She got mad at my best friend for telling me. She claimed to be concerned about me but she didn't even bother talking to me she went behind my back to one of my best friends. I am 25 and the other people involved are 23,24,29 and 30. Is this or is this not high school stuff?

sounds like everyone likes talking about other people, and that can make your work life uncomfortable. I recommend don't talk about others, talk face to face with those you trust, and leave others alone who prove they talk nonstop to everyone about everything

was this in a ministry? that is not good if these are your church leaders.

if it is just a regular job, I would say that gossip is a common experience, and you shouldn't feed the beast
