OK, what you didn't consider were the angles. Because the angle at which the beam left A was at 30.2*, then it'll bounce off the the face of the cube at the same angle....hitting the opposite face at the same length as before in a different place on the opposite side.

I don't want to think about it too hard right now, I'm also doing some astro-physics, but it seems logical to me that it would have to bounce 12 times (returning to the origin) in order to hit a corner again so....

Find the length of if and then multiply by 12 (which I think is what you were trying to get at, though the length would be 7 and 5 squared then added then squarerooted, then times twelve.

And then you'd have to find m and n separate. So you'd move over the m and square both sides to get n.

Then you do the same for m and you're done.

But as my disclaimer stated...I am not exactly conscious right now. I'll be able to do it later this afternoon if you can wait....but that should at least get you started.....something doesn't feel right about it....
