The first relates a story of a student wanting to discuss the religioius views of the teacher, not her own religious view. When the teacher declined, the student persisted (and harassed, according to the story). "What always pops up when they teach these kinds of thing is kids want to talk about (religion), and our teachers say we can't discuss those things in school. ... What happens is these kids get in their minds that OK, she (the teacher) doesn't want to talk about religion and Christianity, then therefore she must be an atheist. We've talked to the kids and warned them not to say these things. It is hurtful. ... After we warn them, then there are consequences,'' Cline said.
If this is the best you can do, I think you need to rephrase your comment to something like:
"The student would be expelled for asserting the teacher was an atheist and starting a rumor for it" or "The student would be expelled if they violated a dress code".
Can you provide an example of a student being expelled for discussing their religious beliefs in class.

Reps: 382 (power: 0) | | | At this point I would like to make a DBZ fusion reference, but I have never watched it so I can't.
Instead, I will content myself with asking: Has anyone ever heard of even one incidence of a Chick tract convincing anyone of its subject matter?

The problem is that they turn rational people away. There are ways of spreading the gospel without making christians look like idiots. Chick tracts are not one of them. |

I like to think so. Even if I'm not, aren't I exactly the audience that jack chick is aiming at?
Where did I say the bible was foolish? I'm saying chick tracts are foolish. You don't need to defend chick tracts if you are christian, if thats what you are doing. |

Reps: 14 (power: 0) | | | I was a 16 year old once & am amazed @ how irrational I was while at the same time I thought I was smar; looking back at myself i have to laugh at how naive & downright silly i was. It is my firm opinion one is not even close to level headed till after 30 & many much later than that. Of course have seen some tenagers who have amazed me with their intelect & sobriety too, but not many. |
