Look at the balance of the text. Either sin & righteousness are both automatically inherited, or neither are. My original question is asking how you guys reconcile this.

Great question, that cannot be answered without some major wresting of the text.

Is sin ever ok? No.

If Jesus died for us to provide us a way out of slavery from sin, why do we keep sinning? We don't have to. We can live above sin.

Did Jesus die on the cross for the forgiveness of all our sins future, past, present?
Yes.

People don't think it's okay to sin. They have been deceived by the Father of lies and some truly believe that they are walking the path of Righteousness because of the deception. Wide is the path................... and many there are that go down it.

It started in the garden of Eden when Satan caused them to believe that they weren't who they already were.
In the day that you eat of the fruit you will be like God knowing good and Evil
is what he said causing them to believe that they were not already in the Image of God or to put it plainly Like God. He has continued on until this very day and will continue until the end, blinding people to the truth. Until he is removed there will never be any peace from the lies which deceive. Only by trusting the Holy Spirit who is given to be our guide can we overcome Him.
