Stop taking sides against God. He said you were healed by the stripes of Jesus. You are basically contradicting Him. When we say what God has done or not done, these are statements of faith based on what He said, not on some external evidence.
Do you remember the story of the 12 spies who spied out the land?
God told the people the land was theirs. He had already given it to them.
10 spies returned and said the land was full of many enemies and giants and that there was no way they could be beaten. Because this report contradicted what God said, the scripture called it an "evil report".
2 spies (Caleb and Joshua) returned and spoke in line with what God said. The said "Let us go up... for we are well able to take it".
Unfortunately the entire nation fell in line with the "evil report" of the 10 spies. Because of this, God made them all wander in the wilderness for 40 years and all but two died without ever entering the land!
The ONLY two that entered the land were Caleb and Joshua. The very two who sided with God and gave the good report.
Jesus has already suffered your sickness. He has already given you health.
"...By His Stripes Your WERE healed." All the promises of God have been made yes and amen by Him.
If we contradict His sayings and basically give an "evil report"... then what are we to expect?
40 years in the wilderness?

Why do you go from translation to translation to find one that fits what you believe?

I do. I do because of the following:
1. Having studied Greek (not Hebrew) I have found that there is no one version that is accurate in all instances. There is so much in the Greek language that is dependant upon the context of the passage. Since we all come into a passage with pre-concieved ideas about the topics covered by the passage, the context of a passage is often determined by the reader. Hence the many and varied renderings. The passage in question is a very good example. Verse 22 which contains the phrase "pistin theou" is in the genitive ("-ou"). Any Greek teacher or Greek gammer will tell you that meaning of the genitive is always detemined by the context of the phrase being read. In this case(and in every case), the context of the passage is determined by the preconceived idea of the reader.

The genitive case is made up of seveal different meanings:
1. possession "his clothes"
2. relative "his mother"
3. discriptive "zeal of your house"
4. subjective "lust of the flesh" or "the flesh's lust"
5. objective "the harvest of the earth" or "the earth's harvest"
6. time "the days of David"
7. Agency "they shall be taught of God" or "taught of God"
Meanings vary within the gentive case. And it is universally accepted that the actual wording is determined by the context of the passage.
This means that technically, the word "theou" could be translated in any of these ways! But the correct way is determined by the context of the passage.

In no case in the entire NT can I find a single instance where "theou" is tranlated "in God". 95% of the time the word is correctly translated "of God". In my study I found every instance of "theou". 652 instances and there is not a single instance where we see "in". Not one (outside of Mark 11:21). Take any of these instances and try and insert the word "in" into the verse and you always change the meaning, and in most cases destroy it.

There is a second reason I look at many translations to find one that matches what I believe.
2. Most people say that they do not do this.... that is, they do not look in the scriptures for verses and passages to legitimize their faith. But actually everyone does. This is the correct pattern and method. God reveals to your heart a truth, that truth is faith, and we then go into the scripture to see if "those things be so".

Act 17:11-12 HNV
11 Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of the mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.12 Many of them therefore believed; also of the prominent Greek women, and not a few men.
Notice they heard the word preached, and then sought to prove it with the scripture. Faith is of the heart, and scripture is the material that we use to validate and describe that faith. So even though many say they let the scripture explain itself.. in most cases they do not. People who go in and try and analyze scripture with logic usually make some pretty bad teaching.

This is just another instance of men trying to define and box up God into a neat little package. Men cannot find a specific passage that spells this out... so they make something up. If He had wanted to convey this idea and have us believe it just this way, He would have.
I think some Christians just use this catch phrase to try and escape having to believe the Word of God. It is just easier to throw out a generalized blanket statement rather than seach out and believe the Word. We are told to fight the good fight of faith and to hold fast to the profession of our faith. Sometimes saying "God is in control" is a just a cop out... and leads some to give up ground to the devil.

I was attacked last night in my sleep. It happens less frequently than it used to.
I will be sleeping very soundly. I do not know if this has anything to do with being open to attack or not.
Suddenly a "weight" will come at me from behind and above. The weight will begin to suffocate and confuse me. I will struggle to regain my focus. My mind will usually be to confused to act. Perhaps this is why they wait until deep sleep. It is like your consciousness cannot breathe. From deep down inside another "me" takes up the cause. "In the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus..." over and over again.
I then begin to awake and the presence leaves me.

Demonology 101

I have elsewhere presented the concept of the logosystem.
The logosystem is the sum total of all the beliefs held by a spirit.
Jesus is the logosystem of God.
You have a logosystem. Your logosystem is the sum total of all the things that the Holy Spirit has spoken into your spirit.
A "belief" is not a "thought".
Thoughts are of the mind (or soul).
Beliefs are of the heart.
At the most elementary level, a belief is a "word" or a phrase that is communed into your spirit. Its substance is detected in the form of an "assurance". You cannot explain how or why... it just seems that you KNOW and are confident that something is true. Your soulish mind may or may not be able to accurately articulate the content of the "word".

That really does not matter.
Some "words" that are present in your logosystem:
"Jesus is Lord"
"Jesus is come in the flesh"
"Jesus is the Christ"
"God has raised Jesus from the dead"
"Abba, Father"
(*see my note in the next post for some cool stuff)

These "words" that have been spoken (or communed, or revealed) into your logosystem are more than just supplemental/referential information. Those are concepts that describe memories which exist within the mind(or soul). Beliefs within the spirit have a defining and controlling effect on the identity and behavior of that spirit. The "words" in your logosystem define who you are and how you react to any given outside stimuli. Beyond that, I firmly hold to the idea that spirits are in large part made up of these "words".

Your spirit is not just a container for words... it is made up of words. These are not thoughts or rationalizations. They do not travel through the medium of a mind or a consciousness as thoughts would. "Thoughts" and "rationalizations" and "consciousness" are functions that exist in the realm of the soul. We are talking about the realm of the spirit.

Think of these "word-beliefs" as the organs of your spirit man. They abide or "live" within your spirit. They are written into your spirit like laws. Your spirit acts in accordance with these "words". Your spirit cannot act outside of what these things say.

Your spirit always and only and instantly reacts exactly in accordance with what these words say. It is helpless to do otherwise. They define who and what your spirit is.

This is why a believer cannot under any circumstances say from his spirit Jesus is not come in the flesh,or that Jesus is cursed. These "words" do not exist within the spirit of a believer. A believer who is in the spirit has a very very difficult time even framing these words within himself. In like manner, an unregenerate cannot say from his spirit that Jesus is come in the flesh or that God raised Him up from the dead. These "words" do not exist in the spirit of an unregenerate.

Which brings us to the subject of demons.
Demons have logosystems just like unregenerate and regenerate people do. Their logosystems are also made up of words and the words contained in their logosystem did not come from God. Their "words" came from the father of lies and are lies. As with all spirits, demons are defined and controlled by the contents of their logosystems. They cannot act or react outside of what their logosystem says. Unlike humans, they do not have a soul. They cannot rationalize their actions. They are always "in the spirit" if you will. They will instantly and always act in complete accordance with the content of their logosystem.
There is one "word" that has been communed into demons that is true. Jesus has conquered satan and all his demons.

Col 2:15 GW
15 He stripped the rulers and authorities of their power and made a public spectacle of them as he celebrated his victory in Christ.

They have this controlling word within them. Just as your spirit instantly reacts to the witness that Jesus is Lord... so too do they. At the communing of the name of Jesus into a spirit, it trembles uncontrollably. It cannot help it. It can only and always act in accordance with the contents of its logosystem. It has within it the assurance of that terrible defeat at the hands of the Lord of Glory. It cannot escape. Whereas we experience joy at the fellowship of this "word", a demon experiences dread, and great fear.

Jam 2:19 ISV
19 You believe that there is one God. That's fine! Even the demons believe that and tremble with fear.

This is a "word" that exists in all demons. They treble with fear at its communion. They are helpless to act in any other manner.
Look at the ultimate and final reaction of every demon to the communion of our faith to them:

Jam 4:7 GW
7 So place yourselves under God's authority. Resist the devil, and he will run away from you.

The Greek is stronger. It says the devil will seek to escape from you in terror. Such is the effect of your logosystem being effected upon his. This is the power of the believer over the demonic. It is not you, but Christ that lives in you and His word that abiles there.

It is very possible that as you read down that list you may have actually felt a jump in your spirit. Or you may have felt a "burn" in your spirit. Maybe even a constricting of your lower belly. All these reactions are typical of what happens when the contents of your spirit are echoed by the contents of an outside stimuli: in this case my sharing of the "words". Some call it a witness. Some call it an element of fellowship or communion. Having felt this and read the resulting explanation... you now may being feeling another spiritual manifestation... joy! You have experienced a spiritual act of fellowship (the communing and witnessing those words) and the end result of that fellowship and witness is joy. This series of spiritual events is described in 1 John 1. 1Jo 1:3-4 DRB 3 That which we have seen and have heard, we declare unto you: that you also may have fellowship with us and our fellowship may be with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things we write to you, that you may rejoice and your joy may be full. Or you may have felt nothing. Do not worry about it. It has to do with how deep you are "in the spirit" at this moment.)

I do not want to delve to much on the interaction of fallen spirits with each other. Suffice to say that there is a hierarchy of spirits. This hierarchy of spirits is described and defined within their respective logosystems. Some demons have within their logosystem "words" that cause them to be subject to other demons. I do not like this topic because it approaches the area of witchcraft. Brrrrrr...

The people who will say to Jesus that they cast out devils in His name, and to whom He responded "I never knew you" may have in fact cast out devils. But not because of the presence of a Christ logosystem. I suspect that these ones.... if they in fact did cast out devils, did not do it in the name of Jesus or because of the presence of a Christ-word in their spirit. It may have been witchcraft and demons asserting their own position in the demonic hierarchy.

All speculation here.

1. The Gnostics almost universally taught that Jesus did not have a physical body.... something that I of course refuse. Jesus was born of the virgin, lived in a physical body, died in a physical body, was raised a physical body, and He with a physical body now sits at the right hand of the Father. Any good Gnostic would cast me out immediately.

2. Gnostics taught secret knowledge of the mind. What I present is the revealed(not secret anything) knowledge of the spirit... better known as "faith". All believers have faith. All faith comes from God. I do not see how any of this could honestly be compared to the "secret" "mental" knowledge taught by Gnostics. Gnosticism was a system of thought. A collection of reasonsings.

3. Actually, I see this the exact opposite way. I believe this teaching (that faith is of the heart and that faith is only the result of a revelation from God) is the exact opposite and the refutation of the current system of religion that exists within much of Christendom. I call this system "mere theism" because it only exists on a mental level. This doctrine does not present Jesus to be the exact image and true revelation of the Father. Mere theism presents the "general attributes of God" to be the true revelation of God. All this exists on a mental level, and in my mind is a much closer to the definition of Gnostics. It is a head religion and not a spirit life. It says if people "know" these things then you are believing them. What I am presenting is exactly what Jesus, Paul, and John taught about: spirit revelation knowledge, the mechanics of belief in the spirit, the word in the spirit, the effect of the spirit believed word in the world today.

4. Of course we all soundly refute all the non-sense regarding "Yaldabaoth" and his Archons. We have nothing to do with any of that.

I could go on and on. But I think to liken spiritual Christianity to the mental gymnastics of Gnosticism is a little unfair. It is like saying Catholics worship "Ashtoreth, the queen of heaven" because Mary and Ashtoreth were both females with similar titles. Which of course is silly and an unfair representation of what Catholics teach. What we as believers and followers of Christ have to do is get away from the notion that we have to attach the title of some ancient heresy to everything we do not agree with. That is like using a canon to shoot down a butterfly.

Eveyone who does not confess Jesus is a part of the antichrist spirit. This includes fallen human beings.

1Jo 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

1 John 4:3
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2 John 1:7
7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

If you confess Jesus.... you are not part of the antichrist.

1Jo 2:22 KJV
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

The anti christ will deny Jesus is the Christ. He is not going to be a Christian, masqurade as a Christian, or support christianity in any way. He denies Jesus is the Christ and does so as a matter of his religion. The world religion of the antichrist is going to demand that you deny Jesus as a matter of faith. No mistakes. No accidental worship of the anti christ.

1Jo 4:2-3 KJV
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

The antichrist will openly confess that Jesus did not come in the flesh. That is what makes him the antichrist. He is not going to be a Christian. Every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. You do not have to worry that "you are the anti christ" or that you will accidentally worship the anti christ. This is not theology by the Omen trilolgy or comic book. When the antichrist shows up everyone will know exactly who he is and he will let everyone know exactly what he wants them to do. He wants you to deny Jesus. George Bush is not the antichrist nor is anyone else who confesses Jesus is Lord. That is ridiculous. The anti christ is going to kill Christians, not try and be friends with them. He is going to tell you deny Jesus or die. That does not sound like a trick to me. No accidental mistaking him for a good guy.

2Th 2:3-4 KJV
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

The antichrist is not going to be a nice guy. He is going to be a man of sin that declares himself God and all the while sinning and trying to get others to sin and deny Jesus. If this guy tricks you let me know... I have a bridge I would like to sell you.

Furthermore the word says he is going to be revealed. Revealed means uncovered and shown openly who he is. No mistakes. He is not going to be a religious person who secretly hates God and denies Jesus. He is going to do these things openly and demand that you do them too or else.

Read these verses. Does this sound like an evil man masqurading as a good one? NO. He is evil through and through. He is going be openly and forcefully anti God and anti Christian:

Rev 13:1-7 KJV
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

He is making war with the saints... not having tea parties with them. He is killing them because they do not worship him. No mistake. No accidents. No oops. If you hear this guy spouting blasphemies and threating believers with beheadings and for some reason you cannot stop yourself from worshipping him as god.... let us know. We will try to help talk you out of it if we can.

Rev 11:7 KJV
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

Where is there mistaking this guy for a good guy? If you see a man killing people in your church, let me give you a hint. He is not your friend. He is not a minister of the gospel. He is not a Christian. If you feel the urge to worship him... be sure to call us or someone else who can help you discern that this is not your friend. We will not mind helping you.

"...do not be concerned that some do not see your message. There are those who are hungrey for truth and who are seeking light. If there is truth in what you are saying, it will ring in their hearts like a bell. Those who are seeking will find, and if what they are seeking is in your saying, they will know it."

I often look back at leaders like Hitler and wonder how they ever got into power.
Hitler and his sediments about the Jews were not a secret. He did not deceive anyone about his intentions and hate for the Jews. The German people knew exactly what he was saying and he did not trick or deceive anyone. They went for it eyes open with full knowledge of what was happening.
When the antichrist comes, he will be just like this. He will not lie about his hate and intentions for Christians. He will voice an anti christ message and people will buy into it just like the Germans bought into the hate Jews message. People will go into it with eyes wide open and with full knowledge about what the antichrist is saying. No tricks. No opps. No accidental worshipping of the antichrist.
They world hates us. That is a scriptural fact. The antichrist will play into that hatred just like Hitler played into the German's historic hatred of the Jews. I believe the antichrist will blame Christ and christians for the problems that will be plaguing the world at that time. This is the same tactic that Hitler used.
The antichrist religion will be based on hating God, Christ, and christians. That what he is all about.

From the limited prophetic view I have the scenario is something like this:
1. In the next election a president will be elected that will be a precursor to what the antichrist will be. He will make claims during his campaign that will in fact lead many to believe that he is sympathetic towards Christianity and Christ. His sympathies will be only campaign deep.
2. Shortly before and after the election there will be signs of what is coming. I believe the summer of 2008 will be very problematic for the US.
3. During the administration of the next president the things you suggest will begin to take place in force. The purpose is not to usher in the antichrist but to remove the US from the scene as a superpower. Because of these problems the US will be rendered virtually a non-entity in world politics and economy.
4. Democracy (like every human form of government before it) will fall just as Communism did. These failures of Communism and Democracy are for a purpose. They will lead to a power vacuum and the establishment of the European power that is prophesied in the last days. After these events, there will be 4 powers in the world. The European nations, the Russian confederation, the Islamic nations, and the Eastern nations headed up by China. And of course little Isreal right in the middle now unprotected by the US and hated by almost everyone. Without the stablizing effect of the US, there will be nothing left to stop wars from breaking on virtually every front.
5. As all these things are occurring, a fierce antichristian spirit will grasp all the nations of the world just as NAZIsm grasped the German people in the 30s. The persecution will start at a grass roots level in towns and neighborhoods around the world. This hatred will be the springboard for the arrival of the antichrist.
6. The antichrist will play upon these fears and prejudices of the people of the world. They will gratefully receive him and like the German people will turn a blind eye to what he proposes to do to Christians. What I am getting is that the people of the world will just assume that "we are getting what we deserve". The final final solution.
7 At the same time God will raise an army of believers who will be equipped with the power of the Spirit that will make the 1st century church look like a kindergarten. The terrible persecution will drive believers together and we will finally forget all our petty differences and begin to fellowship in the Spirit and power of Christ.
