Do you think family is a great thing?

Do you think family is a great thing? I just saw something written by somebody. Apparently her family, though not rich, has enough money to buy her computers, nice clothings, and a good education.

with only one flaw. They are too protective.

i guess my other little secondary questions would be.. why are people these days so negligent when it comes to having good relationships and knowing your parents and siblings better? it seems to be a phenomenon in many households. Why can't they just try to understand each other more.. and put yourself in their shoes, then there should be nothing to complain about. What's so wrong with having overprotective parents? ok, i admit that is not a good trait, but at least that means you have parents who care for you. Some don't even have that!

my questions are conditional though, the people i refer to should all be born into a loving family. (only that people show love in different ways)

Ode to Victorian Rose: by Sir Mighty Halo

Many speak from here to yonder,
Many speak in prose;
Making sure that these words sing,
Is the job of Victorian Rose.

Thank you dear friend,

I love my parents and my siblings. Yes they cause me pain, but I would not want life without them.

Of course its a great thing! I can't imagine life without my family. I actually get along with my siblings most of the time. I have 2 sisters and 2 brothers, who are both adopted. I do have fights with my parents just like everyone else, but I also realize that they give me a lot and do a lot for me and I appreciate it.

Family is a great thing.
Friends and church folks I also consider part of my extended family.
