Very true. She brings up hackers and the likes in the books. Plus the viruses would spread to the body...
Ooo...I just remembered the other thing I really liked about the brain ware, you could use it to control your health, so even though I'm Diabetic, I could use my brainware to automatically get myself insulin, in a way I don't remember because it's been too long since I read the book.

Interesting. I Believe the ganwold's child trilogy also has a character who can hook up to what has evolved from the internet, and can do a lot of similar things and has to worry about a lot o fhte same things as well.

Reps: 2,601,423 (power: 2,608) | | I liked the mysterious alien technology inside Rama in Rendezvous with
Rama (although it has been a while since I've read that series).
I first heard about Rendezvous when I played the graphical
adventure game based on it for the Commodore 64.
(though I got much farther in the book(s) than in the game )

Apparently there was also a Myst-like game called RAMA that was
released in 1995. |

that would be nice tho I can see a very dark side to the use of matter replication technology.

Absolutely agree with you. There is nothing like new tech being hijacked for defensive and offensive purposes. So with that in mind can I have a spacecraft in the form of the USS Defiant to do a bit of "peacemaking" or "agressive negotiatiing" and a bit of sightseeing as well? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
