THE YEAR OF THE GATE, 2008
Now that we have entered into the year two thousand and eight,
The prophets say it’s time for the people of God to go through the gate,
This gate takes us into the fullness of Kingdom reality,
We are entering into a new season, the place of defeat is history.
The Lord is calling us as Warriors, who will take the Kingdom by force,
The enemy may attack but we will stay strong and steady on our course,
To see the full power of the gospel of the Kingdom invade this earth,
May the glory of God so invade earth, in height; depth and breadth.
This gate that’s open wide is also a broadening of the way into God’s Kingdom,
And during this year we will see many captives receiving their freedom,
For the Lord Jesus Christ Himself is the way the truth and the life,
His blood was shed that in repentance they might come through the gate into life.
We need to pass right on in through the gate and press on in to the inner courts,
For if we really want to tabernacle with Him we have to reach the Holy of Holies,
The Kingdom’s gate is open for us to come up higher, to seek His Face,
And for this we must spend time alone with Him in the Secret Place.
His sweet presence is the key to the gate beloved, don’t you see?
For us to violently take the Kingdom we must see it’s not about you and me.
Jesus said we shall be witnesses and see people healed in body mind and spirit,
And for us to see this we must go forth empowered by the Holy Spirit.

and my Pastor Simon Foster heard this from God too.
The Lord gave me the bit about the broadening of the gate today.
2008 is the Year of the Gate
A message from Mark Stibbe
Isaiah 62:10-
'Pass through, pass through the gates!
Prepare the way for the people.
Build up, build up the highway!
Remove the stones.
Raise a banner for the nations.'
In Hebrew, the number eight is rendered by the letter CHET, which is depicted in the form of a GATE.
The number eight is related to new starts and new life in the Scriptures – the most notable being the resurrection of Jesus which occurred on the eighth day…
Eight is the number of the gate… And I sensed the Holy Spirit saying simply this:
2008 is the year of the open gate. Prepare to pass through the gate. There are new beginnings ahead for those who have been waiting patiently for their moment to come. Obstacles are being removed. The Father is breaking his children out of a sense of captivity to past restrictions. The anointing for new beginnings is on many in this year. The time of frustration and exile is coming to an end. This is the Lord’s time for his people to rise up and follow him through the gates of opportunity. New starts are looming. Many are on the point of experiencing the new life that convergence brings. And the true church – even though it will know many trials - is on the point of experiencing new life, a new season of vitality and creativity, a brand new Reformation. A highway is being built, stones are being removed, and a banner is being raised for the nations.
So get ready… and do not be afraid. Do not be anxious. 2008 is the year of the gate… And there is a BREAKER ANOINTING on those who are pushing up to the threshold of their opportunity:
'One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out.
Their king will pass through before them,
the LORD at their head'

And I said to the One who stood at the gate of the year, 'Give me a light that I may tread safely into the Unknown.' And He replied, 'Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of God. That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way”

That's me alright. And during this year we will see many captives receiving their freedom
Nothing pleases me better than to see a brother or sister in Christ being set free from the enemies dungeon. And for this we must spend time alone with Him in the Secret Place.
I must confess In reality I still do not spend nearly enough time alone with the Lord. This is something I must keep working on in 2008... Jesus said we shall be witnesses and see people healed in body mind and spirit, And for us to see this we must go forth empowered by the Holy Spirit.
This is the best bit, the epiphany at the end of this poem. I like it a lot. The enermies spirit is certanly alive and acitve. I am so appriciative of the workings of the Holy Spirit in this [me] sinners life so far. It has been He who has sent words, as well as comfort and encoregment to me when I would have given up long ago.
Because of this I am now convinced of the absolute nessecity of Him helping us as we fight for our Lord in a world we do not belong to. As the Lord Jesus Christ did before us. It is so great a thing that when He assended to be with the Father, He did not forget us - His children. What an awsome God we have! I love You so much my Lord and my Helper. Though I am also sorry for where I have greived You.

I've been praying, and hearing from God. This right in line.
Now it's up to us to get in line. We can get in on this, or miss it altogether. We can do it. It is not as hard as some may think. It's not by might, nor by power, by My Spirit, says the Lord. Be willing, be obedient, and He will take you through.

Every year people say it is the last, every year is the year of revival, the year of great awakenings. In reality, things continue on as they have been. I can see no great revival coming, just continued apostacy until the great war begins and the anti-Christ comes into power. Perhaps I am just faithless, maybe that is the truth. |

2008 is the year of new beginnings for me. I'm sending a lovely note to my ex church to retire from membership and Im looking forward to the new thigns God has planned for Scotland this year.

Mat 7:13 Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and spacious and broad is the way that leads away to destruction, and many are those who are entering through it.
Mat 7:14 But the gate is narrow (contracted by pressure) and the way is straitened and compressed that leads away to life, and few are those who find it.
The key to the gate of life is Jesus, our access to revival is through seeking Jesus.
Mat 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Praying for your eyes to open as to the more that the Lord has for you through His Precious Holy Spirit.
And I stand in agreement with the Psalmist and say.
Psa 85:6 Will You not revive us again,
That Your people may rejoice in You?
Psa 85:7 Show us Your mercy, LORD,
And grant us Your salvation.
Psa 85:8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak,
For He will speak peace
To His people and to His saints;
But let them not turn back to folly.
Psa 85:9 Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him,
That glory may dwell in our land.
Psa 85:10 Mercy and truth have met together;
Righteousness and peace have kissed.
Psa 85:11 Truth shall spring out of the earth,
And righteousness shall look down from heaven.
