No problems.
The other ways are western union/money gram, money order, direct wire. None is ideal. Maybe there is a better way to do it online than using paypal. We'll have to look into it.

Have we stopped our giving or am I just 'out of the loop now'? lol

| | | I have an interesting story to tell in relation to my friend that received the donation.
She put the gift card in her wallet when she received it in the mail and that same day her daughter took her to Wal-Mart, which is about 45-minutes away from her I believe she said. They shopped for a while and then left.
They got all the way home before she realized that she didn't have her purse.
All the women on this board reading that probably let out a gasp because there's nothing as heart-wrenching as realizing your purse is missing.
Her and her daughter rushed back to Wal-Mart and checked the shopping cart area and there weren't any purses. She went inside in a panic and the guy at customer service said "I bet you're looking for a purse."
Someone turned it in to them and they didn't take a thing. She had left it in her shopping cart outside.
God does have people here on earth still, for sure!

Great story Honor!
My son worked in a grocery store parking lot collecting carts. He was working Thanksgiving Day and a woman left her purse and he found it and turned it in. Of course the woman came back, and low and behold there was $3000 in her purse. She offered him a $100 reward. Needless to say he felt better about working on Thanksgiving. |

You raised a good man, MVA!
My dad recently left his wallet at a doughnut shop, and there was a major language barrier between him and the owners. He kept offering them a reward because there wasn't any money missing from his wallet and they had it all day and were honest about having it. They kept thinking he was trying to buy more doughnuts when he was trying to hand them the money. HA!
He'd hold out the money and the owner kept saying "you want glazed or what?"
I love that story.

I don't know how I let that mistake happen. 41 is a rough age - I'm just falling apart. |

I'm only 1 year and 364 days behind you brother.
We'll fall apart together.
One thing I know for sure is that Jesus will put these old broken bodies back together and give us perfect ones later.
It's worth the wait!

| | | | I think we should get back to this and help out a family this season. I don't agree with "Christmas" per se, but we all know it's a time when most people give gifts--and children aren't particularly interested in the pagan origins of the holiday. ha What say ye? Can we pick this back up?

| | | | Red, can you move this thread back over to the main forum stickies? It isn't really a debatable topic, but more along the lines of helping someone. PS...My family is doing fine this season and I can honestly say that my children and I have everything we need. I know what it's like when you can't say that though and I want to help someone, and I'm hoping others will too.
