That is great! And a big hug right back to you, Mr. Black !

Our sun contains over 99% of the mass contained in the entire universe. That to me is incredible. Why our sun? Why not some other star? Our sun can hold over one million of our Earths. How is it that our star, while being so big, releases EXACTLY the right amount of energy to sustain life on our planet? Over 380 billion trillion kilowatts, the equivalent to 100 billion tons of TNT exploding each second.
Coincidence? Come on. Not even the most close-minded scientist can genuinely buy into that argument. It's there for a reason, and it's presence isn't random.
I wasn't aware that our sun contained 99% of the mass in our universe.
the universe is not infinite? ok, so at some point there is this Huge brick wall. What is on the other side... Oh, theres more, another wall,, the other side... I could go on forever..
"Entire solar system" and "entire universe" are very, very, different.
Our solar system (planets, asteroids, and sun all together) are one of hundreds of thousands within our galaxy, which is one of many galaxies.

an infinite universe is one possibility, a closed universe is another. It depends on the geometry of the universe.

if this were true, there wouldn't be life anywhere...
or better yet, there wouldn't be life on that 1% left over ...
plus you would have to fit all the other stars and black holes withing that 1% as well...
that'd be a really really big sun ::sweating::

The fact that God did not care to inspire mankind in the translation of his scriptures makes me doubt if he would care to inspire his scriptures in the first place Being punished for holding an opinion that Jesus may not be God is as wacky as being punished for not having green as our favorite color.

It is believed that the Universe may be curved or even curve back on itself. They do not believe it is planar or extends forever. Some think our known Universe, with its billions of galaxies, may be a small part of something much larger.
