Evolution doesn't tell you to do anything. But if you're born with a genetic trait giving you a strong desire to eat poisonous things all the time, you're not likely to survive long enough to pass that trait on to your kids.
Evolutionarily speaking it doesnt matter what you eat.... it only matters that some people are eating the right things, and they survive and have babies ...
Evolution has as much to say about what you should and shouldn't eat as it does about computer engineering.

actually, it does matter though. If you have the gene to make PrP (the prion /CJD) protein, then to absolutly prevent CJDyou shouldn't eat any animal that has the possibility passing a TSE to you. If you dont have the gene or protein, belly up to the burger bar. And many familial diseases may have the syptoms alleviated by not eating or eating certain foods. So no, there is no overall diet, but each person should eat according to their genome.
