This thread is for BF'ing moms, moms-to-be or moms who have BTDT.
This thread is for fellowship, talking about goals, struggles, issues, support (because we all need it) and questions.
I will start off by saying I am not a new mom but I am a new mom to breastfeeding with very minimal support in the off line world. I am currently on month 6 of breast feeding and in 6 days will be on month 7. I formula fed my first child due to the anti-depressants I was on to treat Ante-partum depression. I joined a LLL group when my nursling was 4 weeks old and that has been a wonderful decision. I also pump once a day weekdays, as I work as a bus driver, and not at all on weekends. I can say that I wanted to quit at first and am so glad that I haven't.
I have had wonderful support from several women on this site and hope that they will join in here too.

Sorry to crash in - I'm not breastfeeding anymore but have breastfed 2 children for 16 months and 18 months respectively and have never heard the term BTDT, what does it mean?

We've been going strong for 11 and a half months now. I can certainly say it was one of the best decisions I've made! My babe has been so healthy since day one, he's only had one minor cold for all 11 months of his life.
I've really enjoyed out BFing relationship. I actually am considering getting my lactation consultant certification so that I can help other women have as positive of an experience as I have.

Isn't it great!
My first goal was just to nurse in the hospital then to go to a week, 6 weeks, then month to month after that. Here I am at nearly 7 months and it has just flown by.
