I am thankful that I am not in as much pain now as I was when I woke up this morning. (back problems)
My pastor talked this past Sunday about Christmas as being the only Holiday (Holy Day) season that is refered to as a season. The season begins with giving God thanks, Christ's birth and ends with starting a new Year. Wow! What a combination of purposes! Thank you God for the collective time to give thanks, for the birth of your only Son, and the hope of a new year.
I thank God with all my heart that he has been healing my leg/knee amazingly since my surgery a week ago...
I was supposed to be in agony with my pain level being uncontrollable EVEN with the pain killers...however God has been great and so far i havent really had an incident where i have been in uncontrollable pain yet!...
PRAISE GOD!

...If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Here's some verses: I got them from my concordance about giving glory to God:
I Chronicles 16:24 - Declare His GLORY among the nations, His wonderful works among all peoples.
Psalm 29:2 - Give the Lord the GLORY due His name; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.
Psalm 72:19 - May His GLORIous name be praised forever; the whole earth is filled with His glory. Amen and amen.
Last part of the Model Prayer in Matthew 6, verse 13...
And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For YOURS is the kingdom and the power and the GLORY forever. Amen.
I Corinthians 10:31 - Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God's GLORY.
Revelation 4:11 -
Our Lord and God,
You are worthy to receive
GLORY and honor and power,
because You have created all things,
and because of Your will
they exist and were created.
These Scriptures I've chosen are all from Holman Standard Christian Version.
If anyone else has some verses you want to share, please do!

I give glory to You, Jesus, for bringing all these friends of Yours (and mine) here.
You have brought a shine to my face today, God, as I see You at work in so many lives. There aren't words really to describe You and all the awesome things you do.
At first I wasn't going to rep anyone who came here and posted, because I want it all to be about You. But today I realize I want to stay in contact with each person, and the best way to do that directly from the posts would be the rep button. Because I want to be able to reply to each of you.
I was having a rather stressful day yesterday (Monday) and when I got home from classes, I decided to start this club, the GGJC. And the Holy One of Israel himself, lifted my spirits and used each one of you.
So be blessed in Jesus' name!

I Promise To Never Forget The Passion Of Christ !!!
To God be the glory, great things He has done;
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.
Refrain
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He has done.
O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
Refrain
Great things He has taught us, great things He has done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.
Refrain
(The words are by Fanny Crosby)

I am praising the Lord because He has made it possible for me to
sincerely call Him that... Lord. My life hasn't been the same since I
responded to His love. He has conquered all the works of the enemy!
Thank you for inviting me, Sis... I am so blessed to read of God's
kindness in all our lives.
For he has given me great friends... angels from above.

__________________ No one on this earth can avoid affliction; and although the
afflictions which the Lord sends are not great men imagine them
beyond their strength and are crushed by them. This is because
they will not humble their souls and commit themselves to the will
of God. But the Lord Himself guides with His grace those who are
given over to God's will, and they bear all things with fortitude
for the sake of God Whom they have so loved and with Whom they are
glorified for ever. It is impossible to escape tribulation in this
world but the man who is giver over to the will of God bears
tribulation easily, seeing it but putting his trust in the Lord,
and so his tribulations pass.
Im praising him today just because he is God. He is glorious. He is mysterious but desires to let us in on the secrets of his heart. I praise him because he does have a plan for me. Because he is in all the situations I face, ever have faced. He reigns Supreme!! None compare to Jesus! In my weaknesses, He is my strength and he does NOT disappoint! When I practice humility, he is my Conquerer. (I unfortunately forget that all too often
The humble he will lift up, the proud he will bring low. Lord, I humble myself before you today. I ask that you go before me in the things I face today. You know full well the struggles of every single one of us here. Some face many trials, some only light and few. I praise you that you personally have your incredible hand upon all of them. That all your plans WILL come to pass, not one will fail. You are good. I ask that special light and grace be with those of us facing real hardship. Let your amazing peace and joy reign in our hearts and Lord let us speak the very words you would have us say, let us do as you would have us do and Lord... have mercy on us when we fail, as we often do. You are just so beautiful. I long to see you face to face, to praise you in eternity for eternity. In the most awesome, precious, terrifying, amazing name that is above all other names, Jesus Christ. amen!!!
