Thanks, I'll check out that link. Man, they're so many complex issues dealing with that scenario. Not to take it too lightly, but I sometimes try to tell them that "Jesus wants to make you his bride."
Homosexuals will say that they were born that way, I tell them we are all born into sin and that is why God sent his son to wash our sins away. Just because they struggle with sexual sin, I tell them that everyone struggles with some kind of sin, addictions, murder, lieing, stealing, fornication, adultry, a sin is a sin in the eyes of God. Most have had a missing parent and whatever parent is missing, they will tend to draw near that same sex as they get older and when they reach puberty, it becomes sexual and they are confused. Some have been raped or molested while they were young and that lust spirit has entered them and taken over.
im homosexual but im also christian...my sin doesnt make me any less devout as someone else. sin is sin.
my collegue at work has 'witnessed' to me about my sin and im more than willing to discuss it with him and discuss ways to be closer to Christ
and my advice to you is dont force it upon people or make them feel guilty. the guilt that people feel has led them to terrible things such as losing their faith, taking their own life etc.
be compassionate.
we all want people to be saved but we dont go around pin-pointing people's bad points and ploughing into them until they repent, so dont forget that there is a person beyond the sexuality. whether they are ready to change or not is between them and God and all you and i can do is lead them towards following Jesus. Christianity is absolutely wonderful and we want people to know that is it ALL about Jesus...not about being in a hetrosexual relationship

That's the thing. None of us are allowed to judge. After all, it is written that if you call on the name of the Lord Jesus you will be saved. Signed, sealed and delivered. People don't realise that being a Christian is about being under His constant influence. Whatever changes we need to go through to make it into His kingdom will be done in time. After all, with Jesus as the author and perfector of our faith, He is not going to leave anything unfinished in any of us. It's only by grace that anyone can be saved, not by works. I as a heterosexual Christian, am at least as dependant, if not more on the Lord's grace than you are. In Christ, all of us will be shaped, molded according to the Lord's will. None of us are able to make it without His grace, His influence and His teaching.
