O'siyo and welcome little red foxes to our new Talking Circle. I want to personally thank moonkitty for her thoughtfulness of me and of our friendship circle. And I want to thank my friends for standing by my side during this difficult trial. I am sincerely grateful. We need to pray that our new Talking Circle will not become a target as our old one was.

Once again, our purpose is to bring people from all walks of life, despite their race, color, gender, age, or religion beliefs (or the lack of) together for encouragement and support. We are open to help bring forgiveness, reconciliation and healing from the wounds of the past. All people are welcome, but bullying will not be tolerated.
Red Fox
Many indigenous peoples the world over have creation stories about a Sacred Hoop that originally encircled the world and all the creatures, rocks, and plants within it as Relations. Through human actions including enslavement and exploitation, forced relocation of whole populations, pollution of water, air and earth, pillage of natural resources and indiscriminate destruction of animal and human habitats, the Sacred Hoop has been broken.
Today our world faces a crisis as never before in human history. Everywhere people are hurting and killing each other because they are different colors, speak different languages, follow different religions. In addition, because of our technological "advances," we are literally capable of making the planet uninhabitable for ourselves.
Many people are working to address pieces of the problem, but few (other than indigenous elders) are asking the question: How may the Sacred Hoop be mended? We suggest that the spiritual perspective of the Old Ways is an important resource for people working to affect change, to help us see how our pieces of the work are connected in a larger framework, and to support healing on both personal and societal levels.

Did u all know that when I married my husband nearly 4 years ago...that I inherited a beautiful dog named Shadow. He is 1/2 wolf and looks alot like the pic above. He has German Shepherd in him too. He is a loyal, protective and playful dog.
We also have Buddy ( a friendly mixed breed,) and two cats named Charity and Snow.
I am thankful that this new thread is here, and we have moonkitty to thank for having the idea and taking the initiative! We need to have open minds and accept one another. I used to think that a Christian should "know how things are" and then close the windows and walls of the mind against any new information. Now I know that I can learn from others and be a Christ-follower at the same time.
This country (America) was not won on godly principles. The history books lie, corrupt, and cover up certain issues. Many occurences are white-washed into something that doesn't seem as horrible as it was in reality. There were many, many sinful, violent actions taken, too many to count. We are all sinners and need Jesus Christ to forgive us of our sins and heal us and enable us to grow. We need to learn to live together and have compassion for each other whether we are christian, agnostic, atheist, NDN, Caucasion, African American, Asian, or from the Middle East. This is what our Father God truly wants. That we would love each other. The Word says God is love; so let's love one another. By this, all shall know that God lives and God is the Great I Am.

I think few people are yet aware of how much trouble the world is in already , hundreds of thousands of people dying simply from global warming caused by men driving cars around and industrialisation which has also de-skilled very many people from knowing how to live without money and a supermarket and a car and a house ...
The ancient skills will suddenly be seen for their real value when our civilisation fails as it must do , ushered in by the failure of our money system in which people base such faith and hope of security ...
Learning what we are is perhaps the starting point then, so for many it is to see through what we have faith in at this time... so learn from this little entertaining animation why our civilisation based on a corrupt money system must fail [and fairly soon] :-
There are a few peoples in this world who know the old ways of living well without modern civilisation, it is getting close to the time when their message about the total inadequacy of our way of 'life' ,and way we treat them , comes home in the hardest possible way when those who take the ancient ways seriously will be the only ones with chance of surviving
There is much to relearn for so many and little enough time
Even Jesus warns men that they will be unready , it is seriously unwise not to listen to his words
It is so strange that men were given more than enough in this earth for everyone , but because a few wanted more than others we may all die along with most life on this planet, just because we stood by and watched the seas die from our carbon dioxide pollution and did nothing , key species in the ecosystem that supports all life including ourselves are under threat of extinction, without them all life will die out and we cannot buy a solution to that no matter what the 'market pressure'
'Westerners' mostly think the wrong way about life... and might learn if only we could , form those who have been telling us our mistake long time...
If we are to die through mass stupidity in large nations following the ways of USA, UK ,and Europe , let us at least acknowledge that many indigenous people tried to tell us what is wrong , for our sakes as well as their own... let us at least make our peace with them who still wish to be one with all men, yet who have been so foolishly ignored and abused

Oh, may I ask - this is a thread for our native american / Indian / indigenous peeps of America (or whatever name is now proper) members?
You know, I'm not the thread's originator, but we aren't exclusive here. Honestly, I believe it's for every race of people! But we do at times tend to discuss Native American history, names, difficulties that stand in the way of becoming a Christian--topics like that. So nope--not exclusively for NDN's but we do discuss that.
By the way NDN = Indian.
