Maybe I'm overreacting to this... but I have a minor issue to be resolved. I go to places and meet different Christians...church Encounters, online ministries...people on the streets...etc etc..and as I bump into other Christians, I many times end up comming home with some Christian pamplets ...Christian reading materials. And as usual, I toss these pamplets to the side...some I read, some I dont..then after some time my room begins to pile up with papers everywhere..and when i start to do a whole room cleaning, I'll hold these pamplets in my hand and its somewhat hard for me to toss them in the trash bin...
I know these papers itself are just paper..but theres Scriptures on it and you know....I'm just kinda there not sure what to do with the papers...Anyone have this problem?
The OP has a problem: "as I bump into other Christians, I many times end up coming home with some Christian pamplets."
Easy answer. Stop taking pamphlets from these other Christians.
Another easy answer: Take some of your pamphlet pile with you (when you go out to visit other Christians), and hand them out to them.
I do not take any tracts that I don't intend to use.
I have politely NOT accepted tracts many times.
This frees me from any guilt later, for
1) Not reading it; or
2) Tossing it out.
So, save a Tree.
God will be Happy for your kindness.

Is Mitch Hedburg a Christian? Because I dont have a problem with throwing out secular flyers and pamplets.

well that sure solves it. Wonder why I didnt think of this. I already have 9 Bibles in my rooms, more than several healing, deliverance, and other Christian books to absorb, plus a whole bulletin of Christian materials on my myspace account...Theres more than enough study materials at hand...thats why it can be overwhelming sometimes...

I understand what you mean.....
Your right standing with God is because of your faith in Jesus, and nothing else, that makes you a child of God.
What you do with those pieces of paper, does not affect your right standing with God, and if anybody tells you other wise then they are walking after the Flesh, or what the Flesh does.
Having started out in the Spirit are you now going to perfect the Flesh ?
Jesus said the flesh profits nothing....put them in the recyle Bin after reading them.....

Hi, yes, I used to have the same problem.
Okay, well now I live in an apt complex and I put it upstairs and people grab stuff like crazy. Any trash though, staff that is not truth, goes in the garbage.
As a matter of fact when I see certain materials from a denomination I won't name, I take them and throw them away.
So, here's what you can do. Take it with you and if your near a laundrymat just put them in there.
Any public place usually has a sort of small area for pamphlets and leave them there.
As for books, hehe, my ex collects them, when I read a good Christian book, it goes upstairs.
And people gobble things up, so is cool and is good way to pass things on to others. Can do it anywhere.
People will sit and read something so just find a fav spot or two, and when you spot of that denomination I didn't mention, grab those and toss em in the garbage..hehe.. I know that's awful but I sure do hate people being decieved by reading false teaching in those pamphlets commonly left everywhere.
I know someone that thought reading the bible while sitting on the toilet was sinful.
Follow the advise given, but don't feel guilty over cleaning your room. My daughter when younger went through a stage of keeping all this stuff. When her room would get beyond disgust, I would do a complete cleaning and throw about everything away...she eventually learned to keep a cleaner room, but I think most teens would live worse than pigs if you let them.
She would remark..you would even throw away my "God stuff" I told her if it was important it wouldn't be trashed up or just sitting in her room.
