Please do not get an abortion if you haven't already. Please also know that if you did get an abortion, you were excommunicated from the Church automatically. You can still go to confession and be brought back to the Church but the fact that you were excommunicated if you did get an abortion is not something that I could personally handle. I hope I did not offend you with my post. I'm just being frank and up front. |

I think that the first few posts showed some real concern for her, and perhaps even helped her to search her conscience more. But we have to all realize that this was something that she was thinking about doing on November 9th. It is now past that date. Either she went ahead with her plans or she did not. Should she return here, what she will need is our support, not judgment. For our judgment will not change anything. May I suggest that we just remain in prayer for Susan, her husband, and their child whatever has taken place.

Reps: 184 (power: 0) | | | It breaks my heart, that you have chosen to come here for support, and all everyone tells you is not to do it. I don't feel that it is appropriate for you to be waylayed with that type of guilt. I hope that whatever choice you made, it was the best for you. I also hope, that you have found a real support group to help you with recovering from whichever choice you did make....either choice. I understand the incredible weight of that choice, and would never wish it on anyone. But I also feel whatever choice you ultimately made in your heart, was the right one for you. |

you should be ashamed of yourself for spitting such venom at a woman in pain. |

With respect, this question was posted on a Christian Forum in the Abortion Recovery section. Obviously there are going to be a lot of people here who will warn against abortion not only from the humanistic point of view but also from a religious point of view.
My advice to the OP would be: whatever decision you made please try to draw a line under that now. The most important thing you can do now is to ensure that this never happens again. Please, for your own peace of mind, try to ensure that you are never put in this position again (where you have to make this type of choice).
I cannot emphasize more strongly the importance of contraception with back-up contraception. Don't just rely on one method. Use back-up. Any contraception has got to be better than having to go through all this again.

However, if you use that type of contraception with a barrier method such as condoms that may not seem so bad to you. Personally, I use NFP combined with condoms. We abstain during the fertile time and then use condoms in the supposedly infertile time when people are often caught out. We have serious reasons for avoiding pregnancy. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
