Reps: 11 (power: 0) | | | Fisher Price puts out a Noah's ark toy set. Well, I guess I'll never buy another Fisher Price toy. and I'll box up all my son's old Fisher Price toys and send them back to the company with a letter explaining that I detest their pandering to christians.... Or maybe I won't, cuz that would be silly.

Reps: 308,330 (power: 324) | | | Ok so veggie tales a nativity set and a noah's ark.
So that adds up to 1000's???
I really think most toys are non- religious in nature. I'd also bet that those of you defending Wiccan Barbie would be upset if a Christian Barbie was introduced.
We would hear cries of how unfair that is and how toys should be non-religious and how that other religions aren't being represented. |

Reps: 273 (power: 0) | | | No, you wouldn't, because we (non believers) are already bombarded by Christianity every day. It's not new. You can't flip channels on a Sunday and not come accross at least 5 Christian programs (giving mass, discussion of the Bible and so on) Radio too. Look-get over the persecussion complex because it just isn't so.

Let's not forget the Bibleman action figures.
(But I agree, 1000's seems like an over-exaggeration. Point is, though, there are Christian toys and I don't see too many people clamoring to have those axed.) I doubt it, especially since this "Wiccan" Barbie isn't really a Wiccan Barbie.

You asked for AN example which generally translates to one example, we gave at least 4 (but there are a lot of veggie tales toys, so that really adds up to more than 4). Go to google or yahoo and search on christian toys and see what comes up, there are HUNDREDS of sites selling christian toys, games, puzzles, etc. Originally Posted by sweetkitty I really think most toys are non- religious in nature.
I pretty much agree. Originally Posted by sweetkitty I'd also bet that those of you defending Wiccan Barbie would be upset if a Christian Barbie was introduced.

Are we protesting the religious toys now being made? Why would that change if it was a Barbie? FIsher-Price is a huge toy manufacturer, if they are making religious toys, why can't Mattel?

That is the great mystery.

For the same reason that a couple people sued McDonald's because they got fat eating their food. Some people just don't like taking responsibility, I guess...
