North Korea has been forced to ground a fleet of Soviet-era military planes because of the high oil price, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported. Fuel is being diverted for other training flights, Yonhap quoted a military source as saying. The Antonov An-2 biplanes - of which North Korea's air force is thought to have about 300 - are able to drop special forces behind enemy lines.
The capabilities of our opponents are being depleted daily. A regime naturally is collapsing under the weight of embargoes -- now we should focus on bringing the final hammer down on them with even stricter and stricter trade embargoes, seeing to what extent we can get Chinese participation.
I admired Abe and his administration in Japan because they took a very hard line on Kim Jung Il and now it appears that the hard line that was drawn is a good method of keeping our grave opponents at bay.

They can't fly decrepit 20 year old planes anymore?
I'm more worried about their nuclear capabilities, which have been able to flourish these last ten years or so.

Since NK is a pariah among it's neighbors (with the exception of China, and even they seem to be getting tired of Kim), any planes they put in the air will immediately be identified and monitored. They would never reach the US.

Of course they are not a threat but what this means is a lack of oil, the lack of power to even conduct training.
What good are pilots who can rarely fly?
What good is a military that doesn't have the oil to travel?
