I used to sell Tupperware and I can't believe that they called you on your cell phone. But I'm with you....if I don't know the name or number...I don't answer the call!
I just read this quote in Choosing to SEE by Mary Beth Chapman
"Christianity doesn't deny the reality of suffering and evil. .....Our hope....is not based on the idea that we are going to be free of pain and suffering. Rather it is based on the conviction that we will triumph over suffering. ----Brennan Manning
When a leader forgets to tell me that a meeting's been canceled. Hellllooo? You want me to make the effort to drive to the meeting that you canceled two days ago? Thanks for being considerate of my time.

" 'So do not fear, O Jacob my servant; do not be dismayed, O Israel,' declares the LORD. 'I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their exile. Jacob will again have peace and security, and no one will make him afraid.

If we are in Christ, it is God's eternal purpose to work everything in our lives to make us like Jesus.
John 10:28 - I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father's hand.
Hope comes through faith not through facts.

When people read much more into what you say than you meant, usually suspecting you of something. Ooh, that is annoying.
Statements made about you because of a generalization, such as "You're a Christian so you must watch those televangelists."
Lies. Someone standing in front of me and telling a bald-faced lie. I just stared and blinked at him in that "I know you're completely lying to me" sort of way. Uh-huh. But, he's not a believer, so I need to understand that he easily falls prey to temptation.

Argumentum ad martyrdom -- I perceive that they don't like me, therefore I am correct.
"God does not play dice with the universe: He plays an ineffable game of His own devising, which might be compared to an obscure and complex variant of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time." - Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, Good Omens
