Then I went back to my parents' home and looked in the backyard. Right above the horizon there was an extremely large full moon. I could see so much detail on it. I called out my mother to look at it. She did for a minute, but went back inside. Later the moon rose in the sky and it didn't seem so large anymore. Intrepretations?

John 15:1-8 says, “[1] I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. [2] Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.[3] Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.[4] Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.[5] I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.[6] If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.[7] If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.[8] Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. The problem with the body of Christ is that it isn’t bearing much fruit. The absence of leaves indicate that the body of Christ isn’t really going out into the world and truly saving people. Many people adopt Christianity as their religion, but are they truly saved? When you consider that Christianity is not a religion, but a way of life and the truth, you will begin to see a separation of the goats from the sheep. In other words, going to church on Christmas and Easter does not make someone a Christian. Even a person who goes to church on Sundays may not be saved necessarily. Being saved involves repentance and baptism in water and of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told Nicodemus that one must be born of water and of the Spirit to be saved. Jesus also gave some indication of the workings of the Spirit- speaking in tongues, healing the sick, casting out devils, etc. Churches that deny the workings of the Holy Spirit and do not teach or encourage their members to do these things may be following another gospel and not bearing fruit. The moon represents the powers of darkness, or Satan’s kingdom, which has become very bold and has not done much to hide its existence and influence in the world, our government, and in our churches. Again, churches that do not preach what Jesus and the apostles preached are deceived and have been infiltrated by the work of the devil. Your mom represents a position of authority, or church leadership. They’re aware of the devil’s ways and his works, but are not willing to do anything about it. They turn their backs and continue to run their church through the desires of the flesh, which is a stronghold of Satan. Churches today are not anything like how they were in the first century. Members have become spectators rather than ministers of the gospel. After awhile, deception in the church has taken deep root, and the ways of the world and of Satan are no longer obvious to them. This is why the moon gets smaller and seems farther away. Man has bought the lies of the devil, but fail to recognize his influence in the church. |
