How many special gifts do you thank God for this thanksgiving
Yesterday, Thanksgiving Day, I thanked God for the things He gave me through faith in Christ. I realized that I had many things to thank God for, some things that were vital to my life. Then I thought others must have gifts from God they are thankful for too, and I should ask them to post a simple count to glorify Him, which is why this post is a little late.
Okay, here comes the technical part: ·You can just state the number of gifts you were given from God. ·You don’t have to count what is a given: Jesus Christ our saviour; and those that preceded us who lifted up the Body of Christ. ·The period for which to count the gifts starts at the beginning of the year, or after last Thanksgiving Day, whichever you prefer, and ends on this Thanksgiving Day. ·It is assumed you overlooked or forgot some, so don’t strain yourself out doing this. ·Try to count only the ones that directly relate to you (and not, say, gifts given to your brother); otherwise, the process would take forever. ·And, finally, count those gifts you have to be thankful for day-in day-out once.
Let us give glory to God by acknowledging the gifts he gave us to each other.
Here is the number of gifts I thank God for (I categorize them because I personally like it this way):
5 miracles 1 miracle-in-progress 2 large fruits for listening to Jesus’ teachings in the Bible (fruits as in positive outcomes; only 2 because I already have a lot from the Word of God in me. There are certainly more which I don’t recall.) 4 amazing truths that I have come to know through faith in Christ, and that will influence me for some time to come 2 products of Christian culture that have become a part of my weekly routine (don’t ask )
Total: 14
Maybe this is a smaller than normal count, because I’m a programmer who doesn’t lead a risky life, but I don’t care sharing it if it is for the glory of God.

This year I’m not going to do the same as I did the previous years; although, God again performed many special things in my life. It has been an especially bad year for me, speaking healthwise; the second worst year I have ever experienced. Many days I expected my future to be short; yet, most days recently I have been at awe with God for diminishing my serious health problems to almost unnoticeable levels. Some days I still feel the end is near, but I can look to the other days for reasons why it doesn’t have to be.
As you can imagine, my bad health has also affected my sense of security. On one of the nights I was feeling like the “walls are closing in on me,” Jesus Christ proclaimed to me, “You have the Creator of the Universe on your side, and you sit here condemned in your own doubt!” This Thanksgiving I want to pass this message along: don’t be sitting there condemned in your own doubt.
I also want to thank God for continuing to bring to fruition that one special miracle in my life.
