Encouragement thread for all who are standing for their healing, etc...

From my POV, I would say trust that God has heard your prayer (because He has) and accept the fact that God is answering your plea. He may also want you to hear Him; so, while you are waiting/standing for your healing ask God to show you what it is you may learn through your illness. Do not let people tell you God cannot or will not teach you through your sickness. If you listen to them you may never hear God.

I had no idea this was the verse of the day on Bible Gateway, even though that's where I went to cut and paste Psalm 27 for this thread. I had been watching the daily BVOV broadcast and the speaker was using a verse from it before praying a prayer for salvation. I felt led to look it up and study it and it spoke to me so loudly and that's how it ended up here on this thread.

I'd say you were right on the money, Peacechild. God is working on many of us through this psalm.

Psalm 103:1

Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

No matter what you are going through - Give thanks to God for His benefits - the forgiveness of every sin, the healing of every disease, the redemption from destruction of your life!

And it's all because of God's Loving Kindness and tender mercies.

Then look here also:

Luke 5:12 And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
13 Then He put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.

This is the ONLY place where Jesus' will to heal was ever questioned. And the Lord who is the same yesterday, today and forever replied.

I am willing!

Then look here also:

Luke 5:17 Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.18 Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. 19 And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus.
20 When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered and said to them, “Why are you reasoning in your hearts? 23 Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise up and walk’? 24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”

Does Jesus still have power on earth to forgive sins? If your answer is yes, then why would the proof of that be any different?

Be encouraged - your Father, who loved you enough, while you were His enemy, to die for you, loves you even more now that your are His child.

His loving kindness and tender mercies, His will, the proof of His ability to forgive sins, all work for your healing.

It is the peace of heart that heals ... and comes from knowing that one desires to love all in every minute of every day , despite the world which tells one not to do so...

this then my sharing of the words God gave me in a moment alone with him on a Scottish hillside , the beginning of my acknowledgment that the desire to love must be made real in one's life before one is acceptable to God ,and so haeled of even the worst ills this world can sell one into, through unlovingness we live with daily by tradition...

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

It took me a long time to realise that love is the complete departure from all sin , not hiding behind Jesus' skirts as a sinner... healing begins from the heart of love...

Roamns 6:2 ... How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

His words to me then , sort of like poetry almost , from a moment alone with Him on a lonely Scottish hillside amazed at how a tree could grow with almost nothing but the will to overcome as be glorious expression of love , in such a hostile barren rocky place :-

Messiah:

From another place,
one seed fell here,
on the edge of this hill ...

This now-tall spreading
knew no surrender.

No other
measured this steely purpose...

this was
no war
of proof...

But your sure
becoming,
in isolation

Never give up, Jesus is the alpha and the omega, whatever He had started, He shall also finished.

VI. THE OBEDIENCE OF FAITH - (A.Murray – The school of obedience)
'By faith Abraham obeyed.' -Heb. 11:8.
'By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive as an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.' He believed that there was a land of Canaan, of which God had spoken. He believed in it as a 'land of promise,' secured to him as an inheritance. He believed that God would bring him there, would show it him, and give it him. In that faith he dared go out, not knowing whither he went. In the blessed ignorance of faith he trusted God, and obeyed, and received the inheritance.

God calls you indeed to a land of promise. Come and prove what He can work in you. Come and experience what the nobility is of a Christlike obedience unto death. Come and see what blessing God will give to him who, with Christ, gives himself the uttermost unto the ever-blessed and most holy will of God. Only believe in the glory of this good land of whole-hearted obedience: in God, in who calls you to it; in Christ, who will bring you in; in the Holy Spirit, who dwells and works all there. He that believeth entereth in.
I wish, then, to speak of the obedience of faith, and of faith as the sufficient power for all obedience. I give you these five simple words as expressive of the disposition of a believing heart entering on that life in the good land:-I see it, I desire it, I expect it, I accept it, I trust Christ for it.

Just do what Abraham did-fix your heart upon God. 'He was strong in faith, giving glory to God, being fully persuaded that what He had promised He was able to perform.' God's omnipotence was Abraham's stay. Let it be yours.

Jesus warns :-

Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Have you forgotten what love is then ,already in this evil world ? ... your conscience did try to show you what is not love , so it is easy to know what is love if you listen for your conscience... it will stop you being unloving and so you will be loving ... else you will be sad later on when God is forced to tell one one has been unloving ...

Love too is what makes one feel more-than-just-alive , it is the Spirit of God toward 'life' that does never end ...

Love is what our hearts desire more than anything, it is what we also fear to do because the world frowns upon it , hates the witness in it of its own evil, its unloving grey ways ...

Love too is what we know of as God , what we can know of God, love is then the 'manifestation' of God within men :-

1 John 4:16 [KJV] And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

1Cor 13:4 [REB] ¶ Love, is patient, is gracious. Love, is not envious, vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Acteth not unbecomingly, seeketh not her own things, is not easily provoked, imputeth not that which is base,
6 Rejoiceth not over unrighteousness, but rejoiceth in sympathy with truth,—
7 All things, covereth, all things, believeth, all things, hopeth, all things, endureth.
8 ¶ Love, at no time, faileth;—but, whether prophesyings, they shall be done away, whether tongues, they shall cease, whether gaining knowledge, it shall be done away;

Love is the deepest desire within us [in our 'hearts' as we say] ,yet the one we are taught to ignore by the world we live in ...and we all become convinced not to follow our hearts because others who teach us have become that way .. because others that taught them have become that way .... it goes a long way back ...

Love is then the desire men have largely forgotten and so do not know the depth of lasting joy it brings to life ... men this know the greyness of unlovingness which might show them what love would be like, but somehow the connection is not often made , that without love one will die a grey death in one's empty pursuits in life, empty because they are not one's deepest desire to love...

The almost-silenced voice of conscience knows good of love from bad of unlovingness, but the self is the censorer... in an evil world the self fits in much better by silencing the conscience, so men 'live' greyly in denial o the deepest desire to love which is thus our spirit [imprisoned by the self]

Romans 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

Love is our 'god' then because we desire it and respect it , some even' worship' it, but it is a god we deny , and worship 'gods' of this world instead... few bother to review whether their god is serving them well, preferring propaganda of church or government or their group whatever it may be they compromise love to fit in with...

Love then is freedom to BE one's truth , freedom from the world's false values to take on the values one was given expressed in one's conscience and moved through one's 'heart' of desire at it very deepest level...

Love is what we know of God, and most people have 'forgotten' , censored, God in this world, even in religion, perhaps especially in religion...

Love is not dead though, else so would we be... Love will not be wholly silenced in anyone , it is just that it is behind bars, out of fashion, hidden away as if unacceptable because this world does not recognise its value...

Dear Father God thank You that Deba did receive healing!! Father we stand firm against the symptoms in Jesus name and rebuke this illness! In the name of Jesus she is healed!! Thank you Father God that no affiction shall rise again a second time.. To God be all the glory.. amen
