If you follow that logic, no one would ever be able to criticize anyone. At least Rush is getting help. Yes, he's getting help as a result of getting caught. And what's Ted doing? Hoisting another one. M |

Reps: 61 (power: 0) | | | Hey well the Pharisees didn’t like Jesus. Jesus out right insulted them and called them names. I don’t see the problem with Rush speaking his mind and insulting others as he does. And I don’t see why doing so makes him deserving of being addicted to pharmaceutical drugs that were legally prescribed to him in the beginning. This is not from recreational use (drugs/alcohol) and I’m sorry you don’t understand the point I’m making.
And in my opinion, if I could lock up every mind expanding illegal drug user the day before my sister started doing drugs I would in a heartbeat. It’s too late for that now though, much to late. Yes I mean users as well as dealers. Dealers may sell but users carry their gospel of drugs to others. |

Reps: 61 (power: 0) | | | Oh BTW they said the housekeeper was getting the prescription drugs from a drug store and not by some dealer on the street. I’m not sure where the street accusations come from or the logic of it. Prescription drugs usually come from a pharmacy and not someone’s backyard drug lab. |

Kennedy is just one example of many, my point is people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, and everyone in the spotlight rushes out to get help for their problems when disclosed, and by the way this will be his 3rd attempt, he's not doing anything profound. Do you seen Ted Kenedy mocking anyone about their addiction? That's the difference here.

Rush--> Jesus
Reality--> Legend
I think this could be considered one of those logic fallacies.
If you don't have a problem with someone insulting others for the very same things the insulter is doing behind closed doors, then God bless ya.
I AM NOT SAYING HE DESERVE TO BE A ADDICT!!
I AM SAYING HE DESERVES THE WEARING OF THE CROWN OF HIPPOCRACY!!

I think you meant hypocrisy, not hippocracy. After Rush lost his excess weight I don't the hippo characterization applied anymore. |

Interesting. Why did Jesus despise the Pharisees so much? Because they were HYPOCRITES. They knew the law but did not have love in their hearts. Does that not sound like a certain radio DJ drug addict that we know?
Rush Limbaugh and William Bennett are the Pharisees of today.

Reps: 764 (power: 0) | | | What amazed me was what happened during the Democratic Presidential Debate last night (yes, there was one). One of the candidates (don't know who because I was half asleep) made a joking comment that one affordable way to have affordable health insurance would be to hire Rush Limbaugh's maid.
Yes, this was funny, but here was a man trying to be President of the United States making DIRECT, slanderous jokes about two SPECIFIC citizens: Limbaugh and the maid.
Sad and funny at the same time. Not very presidential. |  | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
