Another potentially non-relevant question...

This may be TOTALLY nothing...I can't see any real purpose other than the fact that the numbers are the same, but I'll venture out and try not to damage any of my credibility by chasing after the wind. Here's the question:

Can anyone see any relationship at ALL with the fact that there are 42 generations (Three 14-generation groupings) from Adam to christ (Genealogy in Matthew) and the Times, Time and Half a time (3.5 years - Tribulation; 3.5 years Great Tribulation) or 42 months in each half of the tribulation in Revelation?

Numbers are very significant in the Bible or I wouldn't have even mentioned it. I was reading the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew one day and suddenly the number just jumped out...

Anyway...Just thought I'd post and see what insight was out there. Looking forward to your thoughts (or criticism! )

Wow that's a good question. I have no clue, but you're right, numbers are very significant in the Bible, so I'm sure there's probably some connection. I'd be interested in finding out!
