We have been praying for my father for 15 years. He still hasn't change even after he had his stroke. Thats because he doesn't desire to change. The Lord will work on him but my father has been rebellious against God for awhile now. So I hope that God will spare him and his disobedience. When I see my father, its like watching a slow death, he chooses sin before God. Your husband was scare and he knew that he needed to change. Sometimes it takes sickness to put someone into check.

God is a loving God but He gives us free will.

You can use all the scripture you want to make people sin look like its okay. I know better, I've seen people die because of their sin, I seen people redeem because of their obedience. Everyone I have dealt with over the years, including me, when we live in sin, we showed God clearly that we are children of darkness, and He left us alone. Then when the enemy came and try to kill us, we cried out to God and He saved us.

I work in the medical field and the only people that I have spoken to that was healed. They changed their diets, who they were around, and everything. They whole lifestyle changed.

If it doesnt matter what we do in order to receive Gods blessing then why is my daddy not on TV with Bill Winston? My daddy knew him presonally, my daddy sowed that seed in Bill's ministry, Bill Winston decided to serve God and my daddy decide to serve his flesh by smoking, drinking, fornication, and etc. Now my daddy is sitting in front of the TV watching Bill Winston speak a powerful word and my daddy can't even think straight.

Joyce Meyer knew in order for her to be healed she had to quit smoking cigarettes. T.D. Jakes had to quit smoking cigarettes and look how mighty God moved.

When I turned my back on the Lord, He left, and I almost died.

God did protect me, yes i do believe it with all my heart but I could of died if I didn't repent.

God gives life.. And your dad may not be able to change at this point.. He might want too if given the chance though.. When you said that Bill Winston spoke a word that your father heard but didn't respond too.. What if for some reason his ears were blocked and he could not hear what was being said?? Or his eyes blind so he could not see and understand?

Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy.. he blinds and the bible clearly says that.. and if your father has had his eyes opened to the truth he might react very different.. I truly don't think anyone would want to live that way if they had a choice..

Satan steals.. and when you think of someone stealing.. it means it was not theirs in the first place.. Yes your father may have made the wrong choice to begin with.. but now he may be so chained that he cannot get free.. cannot decide even if he wanted too..

Your father can be saved.. For God desires that none perish but all come to everlasting life.. But he needs first to be able to see the truth and hear the truth before he can make a right response..

In the Garden, God sent his spirit down to dwell among man. Man and God had a relationship. Sin broke man away, and man made religion to try and get closer to God. When God saw that religion wasn't working to get this relationship back, he came back down, lived in a human body, died on the cross, and through the most miraculous feat in history, that man that God lived in, rose and defeated death. Now man can have that relationship with God again. Why would you want to revert back to gainless religion?

I have been praying for your Dad lately.. praying the prayer of faith for him.. I may not be any good at explaining things.. but.. I can pray One thing that comes to mind.. is I will pray that he is drawn to a place.. wether it be a preacher on TV or a church or whatever.. but he is drawn by the Spirit to hear the gospel being preached.. Or someone comes to him and he listens as he has never listened before.. so he can hear and respond!! Praise the Lord \0/

Father God, I give You praise for giving us the mandate to pray!! Father we know it is not anything we do.. rather that we are doing what You have said!! And that pleases You.. so I will pray all the more!! We know You love this father very much!! And I praise You Lord for all the prayers offered for him.. and especially that the Holy Spirit takes over when we don't know how to pray!!
Father Thank you for saving him.. for forgiving him and for loving him.. Father I pray that angels minister to him who will inherit salvation!! That his heart of stone is turned to a heart of flesh!! I pray that today he hears Your voice and will no longer harden his heart with the deceitfulness of sin and unbelief. I ask You Lord of the harvest to send workers into the harvest field of his heart to open his blinded eyes, and turn him from darkness to light, and from the power of satan to God, so he may receive forgiveness for his sins. When he hears the Gospel preached, may the veil of unbelief be lifted from his heart, and may the light of Christ shine in his heart so he may see and turn to You. Father, I pray he will confess with his mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, for then he shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Grant him a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. I pray that the eyes of his heart may be enlightened so he may know the hope to which You have called him, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and Your incomparably great power for us who believe.

Please dont give up praying to the lord....he will answer your prayer-Remember the story of the women in the bible,who was consistant and keeped on asking....(she got what she wanted.)
I know what you are going through....i use to be a addicted to all sorts of drugs,and also a heavy drinker.....for many many years.

I came to know Jesus christ in my late twentys-I am free from my addictions...and forgiven.
My husband was a drug dealer,this was all he new....this was normal for us.....and Jesus has also changed my husband ...(No more dealing)

When i fell in love with Jesus,I wouldnt give up praying,it wasnt easy at all....an some times I wounder how I lasted..(keeping close to the lord.)
There were times when I would get angry at Jesus-God because I couldnt see any positive results.....asking myself if he was even listening.
But by being consistant,my husband and children have given there hearts to Jesus.....this took many years of prayer....No more drug dealing & drinking

I had prayed seven year for my sister also...and she was hooked big time on drugs alcohol....and Jesus has changed her in the last three months..
She dosent want that life anymore..and wants to just have a normal life.
The lord is still working in her heart,and sorting her life out.....in his timing.

Prayer dose work....dont give up ok.....keep close to Jesus and believe.
KEEP PRAYING to Jesus to change your dad,& to soften his heart.
Praying to take away the adictions,and pray salvation.
Praying protection of the lord to cover your dad and family,with Jesus blood.

And lord I pray for protection on the family-(the dad and children)
Cover them with your blood,hide them under your wings.
Restore back to them what is rightly theres....take the sadness away from this family and place it with your joy & love.
