My parents live just an hour east of you and here I am in Iowa playing Folk Music (Kingston Trio & Peter, Paul and Mary) and a little bit of Bluegrass on my (acoustic) guitar, 5-string banjo, and mandolin. Hmmm. Bluegrass belongs in Murphy, NC. Trade ya places on the map!
When I get
gutsy, I actually venture into "Simon & Garfunkel," "John Denver," Jim Croce," and "Kansas."
I enjoy Christian music too, but I'm even getting to be an
oldies lover there-- Steven Curtis Chapman, Rich Mullins, Ray Boltz. (Was so sorry the day Rich Mullins died).

Love praise songs too. I sign (American Sign Language) in church for them. (Love to sing and sign).
You might check out my recent post on the musicians forum, (entitled "Whoa Boy), asking for help with venturing out into playing the bass guitar. (A challenge my pastor has recently presented to me). I can use every bit of advice from those of you out there.
