Reps: 320,094 (power: 327) | | | Is National University Reputable In Terms Of Their Science Curriculum? I am interested in obtaining a science degree, be it Biology or Geology perhaps.
My desire to learn more first hand about science (Evolution etc) is driving this decision, and I don't have the luxury of quitting my day job. Thus, I must seek out online/weekend type degree programs.
Has anyone ever heard of National University? http://www.nu.edu/Academics/Schools/...s/620-112.html
Thanks, |

Reps: 140,889 (power: 149) | | I've never heard of it but it appears legitimate. Apparently it's qualified to teach "Domestic Security Management" as far as FEMA is concerned.
According to that document, National University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. I haven't checked out that organization though so it doesn't mean much. Many diploma mills also set up "accrediting" businesses so that they can accredit their own school and make it appear to be legit.
Like I said though, the school seems to be good since FEMA says the education is sufficient enough for their purposes. I don't know how good their biology or geology programs are though.
Good luck.

Reps: 140,889 (power: 149) | | Glad I could help. I know it wasn't exactly the information you were looking for but I thought it might make your decision easier if you knew your money was being safely spent.
Again, good luck!
