yeah thats what I was saying. Cos according to Hinduism and Buddhism the soul takes on many bodies..(reincarnation), and each time it evolves. its next birth depends on how it evolved during its past life..for the better or for the worse.
I guess i have to be more explicit cos in my previous post I assumed that any who read would understand what i was talking about. well what i was saying is that in biological evolution the capabilities of the offspring is dependent on how/where its parents/ancestors live and what they do...for example if an ape started living mostly on trees, then it would have longer tails and a lighter body a few generations down the line....(just an example)
if a group of animals have less food in general in the environment they live their offspring might get smaller and smaller in the succeeding generations....able to live off with the reduced food.
Thats similar to the evolution of the soul that Hinduism teaches. In Hinduism the reincarnation of the soul...i mean what body/form the soul will take in its next reincarnation in based on the experiences of the soul during tis past lives....if the soul does good deeds and has good karma..then it gets a "better" form..
if it does bad deeds , then depending on the deeds it might get another form where it will be given a chance to better itself....
its like a lift...it can go up or it can go down....just like biological evolution...a species might evolve to a better satatus or degenerate into some lower life-form
