Well that’s the thing of it, finding people that are willing to put in just a little work to create a worthwhile guild. All of the financial burdens as well as most of the organizational work will be my responsibility but committed officers are the ones that often get down in the trenches and do much of the work for the members of the guild.

The only reason I would be creating an EQ2 guild would not just be to take the place as guild leader of it (as many do) but to create a guild with the right concepts and organization to be fun and worthwhile for people to be involved with, including myself. Creating a guild based on Christian ideas and motivations is in my opinion a great way to share the gospel with other players in the game and this I have done often and would be putting much of my organizational time into.

This of course is still some time off but I have been feeling the draw of doing this over the past few months. If this is something I should be doing then I do think it will unfold as the time draws near to begin organizing it. For now though, EQ2 is not even slated for release until March of 2004 so I primarily only have things in concept at this point.

I played Earth & Beyond for a few months and cancelled my subscription because I didn't have the time to really play it the way I wanted. I am going to renew it in December sometime though, also thinking of getting Planetside or ShadowBane also.

ShadowBane has a free trial. You can download the game and play it for a week. A lot of MMORPG's have the free download and trial right now. I think I have a list of 15 or so games floating around my computer somewhere..

I played E&B from release for four months. It was a good game but I went on a trip for a few months and just didn't reactivate my account when I got back. I've been thinking of getting the account going again (if my chars are still on the server) but I may be holding out for the expansion to SWG where you can have ships *likes flying ships too*. I still need to look into that though.

I'm glad to see that many of you enjoy MMORPGs. I'd like to know if any of you are thinking about giving ShadowBane a chance? If so please contact me in-game on the Dread server, I'm usually on as either Darkie Forgebirther or Merkol Ainor.

Hope to see you in game if you're interested else wise I think it's definitely something to look into since UbiSoft Inc./Wolf Pack Studios is currently about to start testing a new map/world for the game within the next 3-4 weeks.

They are adding a new race and new monsters, classes, disciplines, and the expansion goes for sale at the same price as the game, $19.99 plus the 12.95/month. I think it's not that bad but then that's also because I pay $50 for a PS2 or X-Box game.

Anyway let's see if it is possible to start a religious guild in-game or something. Hope to hear from you.

Does anyone want to start a WoW guild? I'm keen to play with fellow Christians
