...A GOD CREATED A GOD THAT CREATED TWO GODS THAT BOTH OF THEM CREATED THE ULTIMATE GOD THAT CREATED HALF OF THE UNIVERSE WHILE THE OTHER HALF APPEARED BY CHANCE!
Well, since I believe God made the universe, I think He created it to show us His majesty and leave us in awe of His creation. A couple celestial bodies and a sun wouldn't be as spectacular. I also think God did it to show, that even with this enormous and incomprehensibly complex universe, we are special despite being insignificant in the grand scope of things. God created all of this for us. I think thats incredible.
Now, from the point of an atheist, I don't see how this question can be answered. Those who deny God say the universe came from a point of nothing. But why did it stop being a singularity? The universe has no intelligence, yet it just decided to expand? Why bother?

The Bible pretty well tells us that God does what He did, for His good pleasure.
Philip. 2:13
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
I think that anyone who is creative, does their work, just for the enjoyment they get out of being creative. Of course if we want to make money off of our work, then we have to do something that gives enjoyment to others.
If the big bang was caused by a statistical fluctation in the zero point energy of a generalized Dirac sea it could be that universes like ours are just things that happen from time to time, or maybe God said
"Let there be a huge statistical fluctuation in the zero point energy of the Dirac sea and there was light"
Then again maybe not.

You pleasure yourself, and continue to live out of the enjoyment of it. Why wonder why a god would need to pleasure himself? Beings we are because a being He is. Our way of thinking is the same, but on a much smaller scale.
